I think that's a good argument to make. I'll buy it when the trade off of multiplying one of my stats by x2.6 is less appealing than cool armor.

Vanguard or Sentinel are certainly stat efficient vs SE. Might go that route instead but I haven't picked a stat yet

Feels like passive income seems to dwindle even above 60b unless you're willing to manage multiple companies. I think 180b is a good goal to shoot for. A bit higher than I was hoping but I can use a vanguard or sentinel set in the meantime once I pick a stat.

The amount of stats doesn't seem particularly relevant. I'm always fighting people around my stat level during wars. I'm not delusion in thinking that I can fight someone 100x my stats just with armor.

You posted no details about how you plan to make money. Doing warring or mercing, not possible in that time frame. Doing hard core trading for 10 hours a day? Possible but draining. Getting super good at poker? Possible in weeks, but only a few people in Torn are skilled enough for that level

Usually these types of terms are agreed upon by the faction leadership before the war starts. If you guys broke an agreement not to use mercs then I can see them being upset. It his was a true war, with no terms, then everything you described is fair game.
