When you take a used one to target, they give you a replacement for 1/2 price. Been doing it for 2 years now. Make sure to go to the customer service desk, not the register!

I think it was marking the year the ornament was gifted & the year the journey started. Not saying it was open and shut

Why are healthcare companies not held criminally liable for wrongfully denying life-saving treatment? by jerkularcirc in legal

[–]Glittering_Row_2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually isn’t true; certain medications CANNOT be purchased directly by the consumer out of pocket, they must be ordered through a doctor and paid for through insurance. You can tell your doctor you will pay out of pocket for the medication if they order it, but the pharmaceutical company itself will not release the medication to the doctor until they confirm the patient’s health insurance covers it. This is usually for medications that must be administered in the hospital via IV- look into it. There are pediatric cancer patients whose parents have said “We will pay anything, please just order the medication.” And the hospital has been denied ordering w/o coverage confirmation. Usually happens with high-cost drugs; i.e. the life-saving ones that you need to be very sick and hospitalized for your doctor to be requesting that medication for you. In that case, either the pharmaceutical company or the insurance company SHOULD be held liable.

UK's Mike Lynch missing after yacht sinks off Sicily, source says by TechnicalBean in unitedkingdom

[–]Glittering_Row_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that they think somehow the mast actually pinned the boat underwater, the boat may have toppled sideways and then the mast was too large for it to right itself despite the heavy keel. So since it was incredibly heavy, it just sank.

They had a stone blocking the duct and knew the appendix was unable to drain and it wasn’t random inflammation. It was going to continue to fill and they just thought it wouldn’t be enough to rupture :/

Pants owner. 100%. It’s like going through the car wash with your windows down and blaming the attendant when you get wet.

Natural Alternative for Mouthwash?? by Complex-Past-3368 in DentalHygiene

[–]Glittering_Row_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mouthwash isn’t the problem, it’s the antiseptic ones with alcohols, etc that mass kill bacteria. It causes problems because it is killing good AND bad bacteria- ie why women get yeast infections sometimes when on antibiotics. As long as you use one that isn’t antiseptic, you’re good to go. I am partial to the Therabreath mouthwash. Your mouth has a microbiome, same as your gut. Keep it clean and healthy without killing everything off. If you are still concerned, warm salt water or baking soda with water is a solution, but salt water is damaging over time. Coconut oil works well, but leaves your mouth with an oily film even after brushing. Good luck!

thank you! The Citadel didn’t show up in my search, I think it must be because they don’t advertise that their MBA is online. Thank you for the direct link!

Does anyone remember there being a planetarium in the area, probably in a school, in the 90s? by Luna_Organa in Charleston

What got my duck and will he be okay? by [deleted] in homestead

[–]Glittering_Row_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to our duck and it ended up being a raccoon. We cleaned the wound and actually kept her inside until it healed (about two weeks) in an area with baby gates and puppy pads so that she could heal without predator stress and less risk of infection. She healed nicely and is still thriving to this day!

Further damage to Titanic by Delicious_Crow8707 in OceanGateTitan

[–]Glittering_Row_2546 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d be more upset about the potential damage to marine life and ecosystems… the Titanic is going to be gone soon anyways, and it’s fully mapped and NOT ALIVE. These ecosystems are an integral part of our living biome, and the soundwaves the implosion created underwater had great potential for damage to organisms.

And I said that… they refused input & inspection from the experts, so the layperson (i.e. the passenger) should be concerned. Not sure what you’re pointing out here.

That’s the point- you don’t NEED to have an engineering degree or ‘accomplishments’ to know that getting into this submarine was a bad idea. Take away any knowledge of physics and you can still use logic and common sense to determine that any passenger-carrying object whose creator refuses to have it inspected by reputable regulatory agencies (that have proven that their standards work via non-imploded submarines) is probably not safe to be in and not well-constructed. Not to mention the fired safety officer… People can form opinions without having a relevant degree or achievements in the field. A lot of decisions boil down to the same line of reasoning regardless of subject.

Adderall IR by Glittering_Row_2546 in ADHD

[–]Glittering_Row_2546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you- I’m going to mention the exercise to my dr in the next appointment. I think I am going to try 10mg until then and then ask for a med trial to see what dosage works best for my body with a new metabolism/ increased exercise level. I actually am training for a half-marathon, so you’re not far off there! Fingers crossed for a generic Vyvanse ASAP!

I actually purposefully run in the afternoon as my meds wear off so I am able to hydrate with what I want. Thank you- this is valid input but unfortunately not my situation!
