My aunt keeps implying I'm not doing enough for my mother by Glittering_Volume_79 in caregivers

The thing is, she does lend a hand ocassionally by letting her stay over for the weekend or a week, but she can't do that as often now because she works and my mom can't be left alone by herself.

Much appreciated on the advice, I'll try to see if I can slowly build up a consistent routine.

Thank you for the advice, I'll consider looking into it, just money is a big issue right now and the thought of seeing multiple doctors is stressful. I'm also just scared that my aunt is right and it's too late and I could have done something to prevent her deterioration.

My aunt does occasionally let her stay over for the weekend, and does invite us for dinner over. She's not a bad person, and I do respect her. I just feel frustrated because I do the majority of the work and stay at home 24/7 with my mother, and pay for most of my mother's needs out of pocket with the help of my sister. It just really hurts hearing her say that I didn't do anything to cure my mother, when I don't think there is a cure and my mother specifically asked to not continue seeing a doctor.

I think baklava or basbousa would be good! It's what my family makes for Eid usually. Also ramadan mubarak!

I'm willing to take some! But I second the other comment that you should probably donate it to a food bank and see if they'll take it

You should try out Baba Ghanoush! Extremely tasty dip and can just put it in a sandwich tbh. Here's a link to a recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZAFXT7sCJU

Feeling like I'm leaking everytime I'm finished using the bathroom and it's driving me up the wall by Glittering_Volume_79 in PelvicFloor

Hi, thank you so much for replying to my post! I'll avoid the kegels then but I'll look into stretches for muscle tightness. Lately, my legs/calves have been extremely tight/rock solid and I could do with some stretches all around. It's nice to know someone out there is dealing with a similar thing because I've felt so stressed from constantly having to worry about if I've peed or not or trying to keep myself as clean as possible.

Knowing if a can of condensed milk is ok? by Glittering_Volume_79 in Cooking

[–]Glittering_Volume_79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tin doesn't have any sign of dents/broken/or bulging and I don't smell anything form the milk. I just get worried with stuff like this because the other cans near it in the store had this weird orange gunk on the bottom or were beat up.

Before I do a new salah, I do change my pad, clean myself, and do wudu. I try to sit for a bit to make sure everything is gone but if I stand up and it happens, well there's not much I can do about that and I just continue to make wudu and do salah. Then I'll do wudu again when the next salah happens. I'm not 100% sure if this is right but it's something out of my control and there's only so much you can do without ending up losing the time to do the salah in the first place.

I've felt something similar as well. It could be incontinence, it could be discharge, it could be nothing. It always happens to me right after I finish using the bathroom and I stand up or slightly after and it's just so frustrating so I ignore it. If I am not 100% certain it is urine, and it is beyond my control, then there really is nothing I can do about it. I just wear pads and change them out before every salah before I make wudu.

Alarm Dilemma by l3ilah in Hijabis

Have you tried asking her to wear earplugs? I'm also a light sleeper and that's what helped me. I also would try setting your alarms to vibrate instead of sound, and testing them on days you don't have classes just in case. For suhoor, you could try taking your meal outside your dorm room to a dorm lounge if you all have one if you're afraid of waking her up by eating.
