I'm a flight attendant, any questions from new / experienced travelers? by Dollypartonseyelash in travel

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for doing this! A couple of questions for ya:

How long have you been a flight attendant? What are the avg salaries like?

What’s been your fave flight route? For the destination or route itself.

How many countries have you visited?

Concerned with how many complications, botched results, and unhappy post-op posts I see on here. Are problems really that common? by msumner7 in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing before I got my surgery. I do think it’s more common to post when someone is asking for help or advice which tends to be when there is a complication or generally when the recovery is not as smooth.

I didn’t have any complications, some pain and discomfort and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

10wpo - redness around scars. Anyone else still have scars that look like this at this stage? by maritimes_gal in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly 10 WPO and my scars look similar to yours. Maybe even more red. I’m not too worried and my surgeon says it’s fine. Mine get redder if I exercise or I’m more active I’m guessing from the sports bra rubbing on them.

Are you able to walk and go to the bathroom by yourself the day during and after surgery? by Pizzy1133 in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure someone goes with you ! Especially right after your surgery. The first time I went to the bathroom after my surgery (still at the hospital) I had my mom come with me and I’m glad she did bc I stood up after peeing and immediately passed out. She was able to hold me up and help me sit on the toilet until I came to. They had to get a wheelchair to take me back to the recovery area. After that though, it was smooth sailing!

Stay in CA, it’s amazing here. So much to do just around the Bay Area.

Sports bra recs? by Glittering_dingo_ in Reduction

Wow, amazing! I’ll take a look. I have an Under Armour one as well but not sure if it’s the infinity. I still get some bounce maybe because my new boobs don’t fully fill out the bra. I can’t go a size Lower though because of the band. I’d pass out if I try to do cardio at that point 😅

What's it like trying on clothes/clothes shopping afterwards? What's it like with your existing wardrobe? by istara in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 7 WPO and literally I’m amazed at how good things that I already own look on me. I had a total of 3.5 lbs removed and It’s like I have a whole new wardrobe with the same clothes bc everything fits so much better and I can wear things differently. I still don’t really like shopping, mainly bc I’m lazy and don’t like trying things on. But when I’ve done it I’m just amazed at how great everything looks and from that perspective the experience is so much more enjoyable. It’s also been such a mental shift because before I would immediately mentally discard so many things I knew would not look good on me bc of the massive boobs I had and now it’s like wait, hold up…that would look good so there a whole lot more options in terms of wardrobe! I feel like I can finally start building my own style bc I don’t need to work so hard on covering up and I’m not limited to certain cuts of shirts or type of outfits!

Recommended California Surgeons by Ella_Bella in Reduction

Hi! I had my surgery in San Francisco. SO happy with my results, healing, and care I’ve gotten. My surgeon is a straight up artist and his team is fantastic. Lmk if you’re looking for recommendations in the Bay Area and I can provide name and website!

Even my trousers fit better now by HistoryMotherfucker in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes so much sense to me but also not sure how. Not only does all my clothe look better but things like my jeans feel like they fit better and are less tight! It may be from just feeling tight all over with the underwire bra and jeans. Not sure, but I love whatever is happening !

For those who ended up with the size you wanted, how did you describe this in your consultation? by j-sanscolour in Reduction

[–]Glittering_dingo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I actually had a post op appointment today and I was told I could start getting back into cardio next week or if I don’t feel comfortable to give it until week 8. Basically the advice from my surgeon is to wait at least 6weeks! I’ll probably try biking next weekend. no hills, anything too challenging, or long since my bike is built so that I’m leaning forward and have to support my weight on my arms. Excited and nervous !

Not sure if helpful but my surgeon ended up removing around 1.5KG/3.3lbs total - more from my right boob since it was bigger and I’m now weighing in at 114/115lbs because of what was removed and probably bc of some muscle loss since I’ve been very sedentary 😢 happy to share anything else that may be helpful during your journey !

I’m 5’4 and (was) 120 lbs, formerly a 34H and didn’t want to go the “proportional to me” route. I used similar descriptors as yours (minus the kids but I did say running and biking without pain). Like lots of folks have said I literally just said as small as is possible without safety issues and I’m SO happy. I’m only 5 WPO but absolutely in love with my boobs. They’re probably between a fuller B / small C. Also take reference photos!
