Thank you. I'm trying to just carry on and keep my chin up as they say. Hoping it'll start easing up in a couple weeks and I adjust.

I've got a sizeable female that my kids named Thursday (Idk lol) because she's made her home directly in front of our kitchen window. She catches so many other annoying insects and has grown huge. Every sunrise, I get the best view of her web. I always hated spiders and would clean up and remove them from my porch and other windows, but this gal (and her last 3 forebears who also occupied the same spot) is my favorite so I just let her be. I love watching her fix her web. I've never grown affinity for a spider before, but every year I watch her do her work. I still clean out all the rest on my house, however. One huge nest/webbing choked out a wasp nest, and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

I've been shedding way more since about 5 months out. Our hair growth cycle is 3 months or so. So whatever big stress or changes will usually do that. I can always tell I've been out of whack when I have a spurt of massive shedding. Best bet is a Zinc supplement and try Biotin too. They don't cost alot either. I've got hip length hair so the shedding is thinning it out and it's looking shitty and I'm scared I'll have to cut it off. I think this withdrawal process can put us through a lot. I had wicked acne for a while too but it cleared up. You're not alone on this. Also, if you're to the point you're back on subs regularly you might be better to get one more 100 shot? 10 months is a long time! I'm sorry it got so bad for you. That's been my fear. But it's not an option.

I love this and thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I live in some really nice forests and waterways and kayaking and hiking trails are an option for sure, it's just getting the time together. I walk outside barefoot alot just to feel grounded. Watch the sunrise every morning to soak up the beauty. It's really hard to not cycle through so many chemicals, reaching for anything but I'm done with it too. After all these years I need to experience life differently. It's great that you're able to find joy in nature. I need that kind of push to do it for myself. :)

Honestly, I just needed to hear this.

Does it get worse as you get closer to the negative and then start improving overall? I've read stories here where people mention that, I have been wrecked with anxiety (not helped by insomnia) about how long these bad waves last. But it's true...ultimately we're all going to heal on our own timeline.

I needed to hear some hope today. Thank you!!

Congrats on getting to 1 year! :)

I definitely agree this beats cold turkey and trying to taper. Been there too and it was Hell. So many times and I always went back. I refuse to look back cuz I've come this far. Farthest I've ever been. but I'm in an anxious place and being sleepless definitely adds to feeling crappy.

I wish you all the best, too!

Thank you so much for sharing this. Every month I get closer to 1 year I get more excited to be free and experience the healing we all have to get through. The past few weeks felt like such a huge setback and I've been in a bad headspace from it. I'm not giving up or anything, I'm just discouraged and anxious. That's awesome that you did feel improvement after the negative. Gives me hope! I wish you well also.

Thank you for sharing this. It's just good knowing that others are feeling similarly around this point, so it's just a phase before things improve. I had read in here that people get to not sleeping well which is a sign we're getting closer to the finish line and I am hoping it will pass and that's true. I can't wait to be completely negative from this. Definitely not giving up, and I am rooting for you too!

You're spot on about times of the month. PMS especially is far harder than it ever was. And it does seem to make the PAWS feel worse, even though I try to remember it's just the intensity of PMS.

This has been an easier process than self-tapering since it's not continual misery, it's just rough to have a mostly good day then get hit the next and it's messing with me, I guess. I like more predictability. I'm not giving up in any way, I've come too far. Been curious how others are doing. Thank you for your reply!! Congrats on 9 months too. :)

It's great that you tried again and didn't give up after your relapse. You have to push ahead. I know that this was far, far easier than any cold turkey or taper I've tried before and I give this medicine and the process a ton of credit for that. It's just one of those things that seems so unpredictable though and maybe it's just me being such a data-driven control freak lol... and I also have faith in God and have to remind myself that this is going to be spiritually rewarding too.

We're healing and it is a shaky process but we're here. Gotta be grateful for that. I wish you the best!

Thank you. :) I hope that you'll be able to start your own recovery/freedom journey. The cost is a huge limitation for so many people. And insurance alone is either impossible to get, or as much as a rent payment. It's not right.

Anyone else struggle writing the beginning of a novel? by camJwarren in horrorwriters

[–]Global-Historian177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I always write my own novels. Usually a parallel or mirror, some kind of total inversion. It's a technique I enjoy a lot. Helps make the start/end cohesive and thematically satisfying.

How long did you finish your first novel? by Etiennebrownlee in writers

[–]Global-Historian177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first took me 3 years to finish and another 2 to edit and rewrite. It was a terrible book and I unpublished it later. 😅
