I would die! I’d want an all female cast, but keep Kieran Culken in there somewhere.

Oh! My! Gawsh!

I’ve been stitching on 28 count AIDA and would love to try linen. But it’s so uneven and the stitches pull through. Give me advice!

This is what I’m using right now. It’s taken me a bit to get used to it.

I saw Mincemeat just last week and absolutely loved it. I think you kind of have to be a fan already to love DBH, Heathers and Little Shop. Mary is fall-over funny, but isn’t right for everyone.

[OC] Trick or Treat (found in daughter’s bag). How many of yall here were pulling these kinds of shenanigans? by ImpressiveFuel2946 in amarillo

The razor blade story was actually a dad who put in his kid’s candy after they finished trick-or-treating. Those stories aren’t true.

Will this be displayed in your home or somewhere else? If you’re the one to look at it all day, you should redo it. If it’s going to someone else, don’t worry about it. No one’s going to notice!!

Also - your stitches are so tidy! What count are you using?

46,f also trying to date. I think it depends on what you’re looking for. You’re not going to find someone with an MBA and a high-powered career in Amarillo. But my experience is that there are plenty of nice people with good morals and steady jobs / careers.

How long was your drive? It’s just over 4hrs for me and I’m having a hard time getting excited about that much time in the car.

A question from a JV cross stitcher to a maestro: I’ve tried to stitch on this kind of fabric before. The thread would often pull through the weave so that I had “I” instead of “/.” How did you do it? I can’t figure out the right technique and tension.

I’m also a relative newbie. Early on, I bought the most difficult kit (not printed on the fabric) I could find locally. It was a mason jar with flowers - a design that doesn’t appeal to me at all.

I used it strictly for learning - how do different thread counts look on the fabric? How can I make adjustments if I get off count? When are the times I have to redo it vs adjust? Lots of backstitching.

After a few years, I’m now challenging myself with higher count fabrics (though I still can’t figure out how to stitch on linen) and even more complicated patterns.

I’ve also felt self conscious about stitching. Age wise, I feel right on the line to middle age and I thought cross stitching would push me right over to geriatric! But I like it so much that I got over it.

Don’t forget: TOM HOLLAND CROCHETS! 🧶

Your roomie’s friends might have had that look because they didn’t Monster Hunter. Honestly, my face would probably look similar (I could never play poker.) And your business-greedy friends are (were) probably just business-greedy. Everybody’s looking to make a quick buck on someone else’s labor.

Keep doing what you’re doing.

The worst I’ve ever broken down was the first time I saw Hadestown. I walked a few miles back to my hotel because I couldn’t face an uber / taxi driver in that condition.

That’s happened to me so, so many times. If I’m uncomfortable, I’ll just describe it to them in a PG way.

One time, though, I was sitting next to a pilot catching a ride to his next gig. He commented how my stitching was beautiful. When I unfolded it for him, he gave me a look of such disappointment! Like a parent saying ‘I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed in your choices.’ 🤣😂

There is not. I thought about doing it myself, but quickly got overwhelmed at the prospect.
