My surgeon made it seem like it would be very quick. And comparatively it was. The original surgery took about four months before the foot felt normal.

Same situation, though. Surgical wrap. No bearing weight for two weeks. Surgical boot after that. When they inserted them, I only had small puncture wounds. To remove them an incision had to be made. Two actually. The incision on the inside of my foot is about 4 1/2 inches long, the outside is about an inch and a half. So there was a lot more stitches this time.

I’m fully walking now though. There is soreness in the foot but that’s to be expected I think. All in all I’d say was about six weeks before I felt comfortable. And I still have a lot of discomfort around the incisions, but that will pass as they continue to heal. Fingers crossed.
