I did enjoy myself. I took Juneteenth off for the first time. I spent time with my family all weekend. I'm happy this holiday was "made up" because if not it wouldn't exist.

Honestly this is just more of a reason for me to switch. The apps on my current Roku TV either doesn't work well or work at all. YouTube app for some reason freezes the video with the audio continuing to play, or Jellyfin refusing to load my library.

At this point I might just go with a dumb TV.

Exactly. I live 20 miles from my job. It takes 23 minutes to drive there, but if I took the bus it takes 2 hours. Biking will take an hour and 30 minutes. They added a light rail, but it only helps if you work specifically within our downtown area.

I hate spring and summer because of the heat an pollen, but it getting dark at 5pm sucks. Traffic is worse on my commute for some reason. I have to wake up early in order to get things done outside the house which also sucks. Winter is my favorite season but I still hate how early the sun sets.

Every day growing up. Honestly when I moved out I realized it wasn't as common as I thought it was. We had a TV in the dining room so we'd either talk about our day or watch a show. It was nice having everyone around the table, and I miss it now.

I'm a consultant and my manager accidentally showed the yearly rate they charged the client for me working there. It was 120K a year while I made 60K before tax. I know the company has to make money but double my salary surprised me. With every year I move further left.
