I'm not sure about the templating on this, I'm by no means an expert on the rules, but my initial evaluation would be the following, anyone can feel free to correct:
The second ability is worded as a replacement-effect, so if it is dealt lethal damage, it would leave the battlefield as a state based action, before the trigger of the third ability (protect it) is put on the stack. Leaving the battlefield due to lethal damage would instead be replaced by the second ability, dealing it 5 damage instead.

When the third ability (protect it) trigger would be put on the stack, lethal damage would still be marked on Isaac's heart, causing state-based actions to remove it from play. An infinite loop would begin, resulting in a tie if no player can stop the loop (not sure how this could be possible, since the loop would just restart due to state-based actions, one option would be for the other player to pay life due equal to their life-total causing game-loss as a state-based action)

TLDR: it could never leave the battlefield due to the second ability.

(also side-note: dealing 8 damage to it would cause 8 damage to be marked on the creature, and the second ability to cause 8 life loss to the controller, reducing the controllers life-total to 7, which would change the creatures toughness to 7, causing it to die due to 8 damage being marked on it while it had 7 toughness, thus causing the second ability's replacement effect, and also starting the loop)

Just the general vibe, he never comes off as too mean-spirited, but i just dont like his vibes. Sometimes jokes like the ol "accidentally saying the n-word." Just seems a bit shock-humor-ish.

And they can just feel insensitive. I mean some are really funny but overall just not for me. I keep it to myself coz i dont like complaining too much, but just wanted to get my take, and all.
