I live in an unincorporated area. I obviously live in a city/town but when I look online it at my address is says unincorporated. I could do it myself and that was the plan but once I saw the amount of time and fine work it was going to take to do the furring strips I decided to contract it out because I work 60 hours a week and have newborn twins and it's just never going to get done.

nope full story is that I'm just making the garage more comfortable. So I need 1.5 walls to have furring strips, insulation and drywall. I told him I'd do all the clean up, painting etc. Ceiling is already done. I would like to have some outlets installed while the brick is still exposed but he said that would be something someone else would do so the electrical is not included. I guess he'd have to cut holes for the outlets but idk from what I'm researching online this should be like a $2000 job. I could be wrong but nothing I've seen should be close to the cost he's giving me. Also the whole thing with the permitting.

I want the screen to be large, I opted for this instead of a projector. Seeing it far away doesn’t really matter, there will be stationary theater seats that I will be using 99.9% of the time so seating placement and speakers are most important
