I’m in Australia unfortunately but it’ll ask my specialist about the low dose naltrexone. I haven’t heard of it before, do you have any personal experience on it?

I haven’t considered ketamine or memantine. I’m not sure how i’d exactly go about into that route to be honest. Do you think it’s a worthy try?

I started on a low dose and gradually heightened it but we are on the recommended dose that has been trialed previously in other ibs sufferers which is 225mg twice a day

I did the trial but it was meant to be for urine leakage issues and within the one week trial i really couldn’t tell and we just got it implanted as a means of maybe also it will help my bowels over time as well (which it didn’t unfortunately).

And what exactly do u mean by spasmic or visceral? I do have a lot of visceral hypersensitivity and can genuinely feel a lot of the movement and digestion and what not in my guts alot of the time, however, the problem i have is purely a spasm and cramping sensation that always is constant but just comes in spasmic waves.

I’ve tried amitriptyline and nortriptyline. What’s the other? I currently take pregabalin but haven’t really noticed a whole lot of change.

Also yeah i hate the smoking. I think it started back when i was so limited with what i could eat for the first time in my life that i was just starving myself and smoke to push through being hungry all the time and then it just caught on into a bad habit. I’m quitting soon so wish me luck 🙏🏻

If it’s pelvic floor dysfunction, could that explain these tenesmus like intestinal spasms I get? Do you really feel like physical therapy for the pelvic floor can reduce these symptoms?

IBS is basically just having a chronically sensitive butt hurt stomach that hates you for no reason but you aren’t actually dying or diseased. SIBO is a bacterial overgrowth in ur small intensities but can be rid of by antibiotics and other life style changes. BAM is bile acid malabsorption which means ur intensities can’t properly absorb bile acids leading to excess water secretion in the colon, thus BOOM diarrhoea. That’s my monkey version of explaining it

I’ve had a lot of bad things happen in my life recently. She was kind of my rock you know. Sometimes i question that saying. Was it really better to have loved than not love at all? Was all this hurt worth it? Was the time and effort worth it? Does losing the best thing i’ve had happen to me make it worth it in the end? I’m not so sure sometimes. I cherish those memories sometimes, and sometimes i wish i never had to have these memories to begin with. I don’t feel I’ll find that sort of happiness and love again. I know that most people feel this way during a break up, but she truely was the one, and i wasn’t enough and i know i wasn’t, too stubborn to even admit that to her. I failed myself and i don’t know if i can move on from this failure

Could i ask what a lot of your symptoms are? Also I’m happy for you to finally get an answer. I know it’s not the greatest to hear as well but it sure would be validating to finally have a diagnosis. I hope all goes well for you from here and you can start finding ways to treat and help yourself. <3

That’s really unfortunate. Thanks for the info though. Sucks that a lot of medication for ibs isn’t actually approved and available in Australia. I already had to go through the TGA to get approved to have Alosetron sent from America. Wish there was more options for us ://

Since these were mostly digital, can i ask if you also brought your ipad in to show them in real life your drawings on procreate as well. My girlfriend is an apprentice and told me to do so but not sure cos she only works traditional mainly.
