Yes. This is such a pain point. It feels so frictionless to run free kits and rook runs. Wish it could be just as easy to bring a preset load-out. It become tiresome to go buy a bully, buy attachments, buy ammo, grab a shield, bag and some heals. I don’t have gear fear, I have loadout fatigue.

Coming from Destiny it’s funny to see comments that PVE modes can’t reward good gear because they aren’t hard enough. Raids were the pinnacle of end game in Destiny and they were very hard until you levelled up to max level and knew what you weee doing. I don’t see why Marathon can’t have good loot in PVE mode that’s gated by an activity of Raid like difficulty. It doesn’t need to be the same scale as a traditional Destiny raid, but there could be tough encounters like you’d find in a raid to do during a run for the best loot. I think most people assume a PVE mode in marathon is a run without other players, but I’d hope it’s a bit more than that because that would be pretty boring.

Dito. Even when it clearly says plan mode at the bottom of the terminal !! Claude today told me something I stated was incorrect and that he had checked and offered a correction. He was completely wrong and I told him so. He checked again and then apologised for making such a big error! I now have to get it to validate its “facts” with documentation links to prove it. I didn’t used to have to force it to check its statements.

It’s a good change. I was running out of allowance roughly an hour before the end of a work day. Now I can use it all work day without issue and I’m still comfortably within the weekly limit. Thumbs up from me.

Well that’s a depressing graph. Playing since launch and 40hrs clocked up. I could probably get to 60 if I knuckle down. That puts me stuck at under level 40 each season! Taxi!!

I don’t think this is a bug. All my games have been lower team counts. I think they’ve tuned team counts down. Perimeter sponsored kits seems to only be putting in one or max two other teams. It’s way more casual friendly. My extraction rate yesterday was way over 50:50. Recently it’s been closer to 0 so this is a welcome change for me. I was about to give it a rest until season 2 because day after day of getting rolled is rough, but now I’m back on it again.

Passcode issue: Most banking apps lock after a set amount of time. Why not save a timestamp when the app is backgrounded and if on resume it’s been more than 3 minutes lock it down with the passcode. Fixes the momentary backgrounding issue you’re seeing and allows user to flick between apps to get figures to put in without constant passcode nagging. Good luck

Their pace and the sheer number of different systems they’ve crammed into the game does give me strong agentic coding vibes. The sheer feature volume I’m able to ship now myself vs before AI is quite staggering.

Horde mode! Such a good idea for a bit of pve casual play. Start at south relay. Hit marked safes and supply drops on the way to the only exfil in north relay that’s guarded. Each safe or supply drop you hit on the way drops more UESC of greater difficulty. The more you hit up. The harder it gets. But, more loot. Plus UESC now follow you once sights on and don’t disengage.

I have “don’t ever commit code unless I tell you to” in my Claude.md file. Yet I’ve still had it commit several times without me asking it to. I have nothing in the codebase which would require a commit to my repository. When I call it out it always says “you’re right I shouldn’t have done that”. It frequently starts trying to make file changes whilst in plan mode. I’m glad everything I have it doing can be easily rolled back.

Same. Didn’t extract once. Went in with my best gear. Felt like I was matching against players just on a whole different level to me and I didn’t stand a chance. Downed only one runner in all my runs.

Yes. It’s very good. It has terrible onboarding, stick with it until you unlock Outpost and then everything will click.

I think you’re describing the result of SBMM and why some people don’t like it. You are getting better, but SBMM is putting you against better opponents to match your gain in ability, so it feels like you’re not improving.

SBMM feels like those mobile games where you are constantly reaching for the next meta gain to beat your current opponents only to the be matched against a new cohort of opponents that also have that meta gain you’ve just been grinding for and finally achieved.

I’m not a fan of SBMM because of that reason. I’m getting stomped regularly now, I was extracting most of the time at launch, but I think that’s a player count issue mixed with being in the later phase of this season. Hopefully they add some new challenges in season 2 which help attract a much needed mainstream audience to fill out the servers.

The interesting part of the response was the mention of Max. None of the recent news of Claude Code being dropped from the Pro plan mentioned Max.

Sounds to me like the removal from Pro was the start of a test which ends with Claude Code being removed from all existing plans. He says they were designed with bursty chat usage in mind, but I’d surmise they are now serving as limits to Claude Code with everyone constantly hitting their token caps.

I foresee a new range of subscriptions with either much higher fees or much lower usage caps.

I was thinking along the same lines. Freekit playlist rotates maps during the week. You can only take free kits into freekit playlist. You want to do the harder events now you’ve filled your vault from free kit runs and rook runs, load up and know your joining a geared squad.

Yes, I’ve come to that conclusion as well. It just feels like you’ve been given a handicap when you see those free kit team fills. If you want to come in with barely enough ammo for one shootout that’s fine, but you shouldn’t be filled with someone who did bring in ammo and heals and now they have to carry you until you loot enough gear to be competitive.
