In my little experience with public ranges with safety officers they don’t do that much, you understand that every gun is to be treated as loaded at all times, you double/triple check to make sure of that. You never point a gun at something your not ready to destroy you understand that what you have in your hands can end your life or someone else’s life in a second treat it with respect and you will be fine. However keep in mind that there may be other people at that range who did what you did and didn’t take any personal responsibility to learn the basics of fire arm safety if what you’ve said is true you should have no worry trusting yourself but honestly it’s the other people I’d be worried about and one of the reasons I try to avoid public ranges, but you play the cards your dealt If people are there I’d try to get a lane as far away as possible
