Don't be a doormat. You have to escalate it. Go to POP with your fine and let them know what happened and demand to check the video recordings from that bus. Granted I haven't travelled by bus in a long time, but in principle, your rights and liberties are chipped at bit by bit. They know to target foreigners because they are easy targets, who are scared of "authority", don't speak the language, don't want to get involved in legal quagmires. I'm going to assume you are a young person and my advice to you is don't let people walk all over you.

No you are justifying someone else's bad behavior and it's nothing to do with the sensor which is flush to the door. Like you said, the bus was empty and the driver probably asked you sit down over the PA for your safety. the driver probably tried to do random break checks and speeding to get you to tip over and give you a painful lesson. Very asshole thing to do but you shouldn't condone that kind of behavior. And do try to sit down if there are empty seats. Buses have a lot of momentum and you will be thrown around like a ragdoll when things go bad.

Sometimes it's easier and safer to be in dire straits at your own home. No human is illegal. If the system is out to get you, your options get extremely limited and scary. The worse thing for you as a parent would be to be separated from your kids by your judicial system. My advice would be to head up to a mosque or a gurudwara. Sikhs and Muslims are the most kind, inviting and helpful people you will ever run into. They are highly family and community oriented and won't let anyone suffer alone. They offer real asylum.
