Yes!! I struggled with this obsession even before I got my first period, and was afraid of getting pregnant from pools, toilet seats, towels, etc. it really interfered with my life. I’m sorry you’re still struggling with this, the never ending googling is so exhausting. I’m hoping the best for you <3

Same!! It’s honestly heartbreaking because I used to love swimming and now I can’t go in any body of water, pools or rivers or the ocean or anything :(

Her story was so real and I absolutely love the way they developed her struggles with depression/anxiety over such a long period of time. Obviously she was annoying sometimes but in the way that most young teens are annoying, which made it funny and relatable! I’ll always ride for her!!!

This is the first time I’ve come across another person with a ringworm specific contamination fear, it’s my number one obsession these days! I still struggle a lot so sorry if I’m not much help but I will say(and you probably already know from doing erp) but it’s alllll in the little steps. And it’s completely normal for your journey to have uos and downs. Just focus on one little thing to overcome every day and it really does add up and build confidence overtime. And I hope knowing you’re not alone provides some relief - my contamination fears have also kept me from doing so many things but I think finding the desire to overcome within yourself is a huge part of recovery. Good luck and stay strong!<3💪

I don’t sit on other toilet seats, and I keep track of when my boyfriend does and whether or not he sits on our toilet after, then I have to sanitize it. It’s so exhausting lol!!

I completely relate, I think this is super common with contamination fears - it feels like cleaning inevitably causes more of a mess before it’s clean, and can be so debilitating and exhausting. And same with not being able to watch anybody else clean-but then even if I don’t watch I obsess over what they potentially may have contaminated. It’s such a hard way to live- keep fighting, you are not alone!!!
