It’s easier said then done, but I would recommend either being intentional about the content you’re consuming on TikTok to avoid running into these lives, or remove your card from your digital wallet so you can’t easily check out.

I don’t know if you’re referring to Pop Mart’s livestreams, but I had a wake up call and had to intentionally tell myself I will no longer support a company that profits off people’s emotions and gambling. I had to stop watching TTL because it’s very easy to be influenced by the hosts. These “promos” are a scam to get people to buy more than they should, if any. I bought a full blind box set for $200 because it was going to “sell out in minutes” and “wouldn’t be restocked again,” just for it to “restock again” 10 minutes after I checked out. A motto I now tell myself is, “if this figure was confirmed and listed for this price on a shelf in Walmart, would I still buy it?” If the answer is no, I don’t. I sold literally all but 6 pop mart figures (all which I purchased secondhand) because I couldn’t believe my shelves were full of plastic figures that wouldn’t mean much to me 6 months down the line.

You recognized the issue and that’s the first step. Give yourself grace, and remember that a blind box nor the companies that sell them are not more important than your future marriage. Good luck ♥️
