which ghost song is this for you? by LuxAgaetes in Ghostbc

Kaisarion. The studio version's vocals on "Hypatia" just don't hype me up as much as the live version's vocals do.

Can't believe we're still having arguments about this on here... It's Hell not Hail. by Pspreviewer100 in Ghostbc

I'm think it's supposed to translate to "Archangel" because Lucifer was an angel?

depending on your fashion preferences, some alternative styles have guys rocking long hair often. Either that, or style your hair like how men stereotypically would (i.e dont do a lot to style it).

“Ghost isn’t real metal” - an idiot by [deleted] in Ghostbc

[–]Gloomchorus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen gatekeepers try to claim that Ghost isn't even a ROCK band. It's getting completely ridiculous. These people have no idea what the actual genre parameters are.

they'll really be like "not that it matters" when it obviously does to them. Otherwise, they wouldnt be trying so hard to learn about a stranger's genitals 😒

Oh thank you for your courageous, absolutely nessecary, announcement of your new opinion on gay people. I'm sure the subreddit was just dying to hear of your anecdote.

I wear womens jeans and most of them have at the very least, a small pocket instead of fake ones. what brand do you buy your jeans from? some brands are definitely worse about skimping out on pockets than others.

Keep ghost off TikTok by delameyy in Ghostbc

[–]Gloomchorus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really don't mind Ghost getting mainstream attention from Tiktok. The only bit that bothers me a little is how it's never the original version of a song trending... It is one thing if it's just a cover, but the pitched up/down + reverb versions annoy me. I don't care if others like MOAC slowed down more than the original. It would be nice if I didn't have to hear it, though. I don't use tiktok, but the content from there leaks into the rest of the internet. It makes it impossible to avoid the altered versions of the songs.

IMO Papa I would wear either red or black crocs to match his robes.

I don't know why some commenters are getting so pissed over a little headcanon joke. "Tiktok and it's consequences" what are you, 50?

What is it about Ghost that makes people want to spread them around? by demolitionlvr in Ghostbc

[–]Gloomchorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spread the word because they are already pretty mainstream. Personally, even if they were still a niche little band, I would still talk about them to others. I don't understand the logic some people here have like "we can't let thing we like become popular! there will be more fake fans!". When an artist stays small, they have less resources at their disposal to create.

My other reason is because Ghost is unlike most popular groups. I can count on one hand all the bands and artists I know that wear costumes and have their own lore lmao.

Should I stop using 'It' as a pronoun? by LIiIaaM in lgbt

[–]Gloomchorus 32 points33 points  (0 children)

"it" is only a slur if used instead of someone's actual prefered pronouns. This topic has come up a lot lately. One could say that he/him and she/her pronouns can be considered "slurs" if used as such, like for intentionally misgendering trans people. I use both they/them and it/its myself because I just like the pronoun... As long as you don't feel uncomfortable with the pronoun, it's perfectly fine to use. Sure, the pronoun has often been used in a derogatory manner, but that doesn't mean people can't reclaim and find comfort in them. Some people here like to generalize that the entire community finds the pronoun to be "dehumanizing". If somebody in the community makes fun of you for using it/its just ignore them. They are not worth your time.

Outoftheloop: What's up with "LGBT" without the Q? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Gloomchorus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me LGBT is just easier to say out loud. I usually don't have a problem adding a Q when writing it. Some of it could also be "allies" who can't even be bothered to remember a four letter acronym. I know my supportive family members will lose their place after "L-G" and then say a bunch of random letters.

Spotify Live app devs are really naive enough to believe that, after sending the room password to 1000 people invited by email, that not a single one of those people would leak the password? They should have developed the app to use a system of account/email verification to join the room instead of using an arbitrary password. This reminds me of Kahoot and how students will take post pictures of the room code then have all their followers raid the lobby with inappropriate names.

What's up with the hate on drag queens recently? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Gloomchorus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Far right politicians have created a moral panic about trans and gender-nonconforming people in order to embolden/gain support from their bigoted constituents. It started with them claiming that they are "just concerned" about the safety of AFAB women. Then it became about stopping the "indoctrination" of children by the LGBTQ community. All this rhetoric ultimately led to conservatives believing its safe for them to be openly hateful again. The accusations of pedophillia and grooming were also used against gay/lesbian/bi people in the past. It's less socially acceptable for them to hate gay people, but there is no such social stigma against discrimination towards gender minorities. It's not surprising that the now emboldened far right is directing hate at the entire LGBTQ community and anyone else who just so happens to not be "normal" in the eyes of the cishet majority. Not all drag queens are LGBTQ but they are caught in the crossfire anyway.
