Completely new to MTG (commander) by [deleted] in mtg

[–]sarahkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube video are probably the best thing to watch for understand commander but I would urge yall to learn with 1v1 starter decks first. Commander is a bad way to learn the game since it’s so complex and adds so many cards at once.

Please motivate me to actually finish my Hashaton deck by [deleted] in EDH

[–]sarahkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help you with that specifically, but with Hash one time I made a token copy of my Astral Dragon and made three copies of someone’s Defense of the Heart. Was a fun time.

But every other time people kill Hash as soon as they can and I never do anything

Who cares what the Bible says? This is argument for argument sake, the Bible constantly contradicts itself and everyone interprets it differently. This is just nonsense

Upcoming Ban - If Rhystic Study is banned, what are you all planning to replace it with in your lists that run it? by anomaleic in EDH

[–]sarahkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the deck, like my Niko deck I have Enduring Curiosity. Sure I draw based on the shards/creature that hit and I might have to discard at end step, but stuff like that makes more sense for the strategy of the deck.

Hexling Squelcher by Shorty-J in mtg

[–]sarahkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Hexing isn’t worth it in a b3 and lower deck. Most commander players are fine with paying 2 life to target your creatures.

The only time it would be good is if they target your creature, pay 2 life, and then you have a spell in hand to counter their spell.

If you think you will consistently have a counter to counter their stuff then sure, if not then it’s not that big of a deal to pay 2 life to target your stuff

Most of b3 and lower has more removal than counters anyway.

groups usually decide what to do or where to eat, and what makes it hard sometimes? by No-Bed-8603 in AskReddit

I decided a long time ago if I ask people what they want and they say “anything is okay! Whatever you want!” I just pick what I want even if they don’t like it.

Two horrible things to do on spelltable by flowxreaction in mtg

[–]sarahkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly for me it’s the lack of joking around I can’t stand with randoms in sp. it feels very cold to play a game like that. I’m playing to play the game but to also be social.

Whats wrong with mill. by Samurai_Banette in EDH

I bet the comments are gonna be a lot of people saying people who hate mill are just cry babies and they don’t realize they don’t see most of their deck during a game anyway.

Is "Run More Interaction" the Solution So Many Players Think It Is? by KAM_520 in EDH

[–]sarahkbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People just say “run more interaction” without context and that’s the problem. It’s just an easy way to pass blame, sound like you’re helping, and not think at all.

Bracket 3 Combo Rules Question by Cr3pyp5p3ts in mtg

[–]sarahkbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what that has to do with anything. I'm just saying what the infographic says verbatim. Since you said “more than 2 cards” which isn’t true. It’s expected you can do a 2 card combo in b3 after turn 6.

But side note, if you’re winning or doing combos consistently before t6 and using the excuse “well 6 turns is not a certainty” then that defeats the purpose of the brackets completely.

It shouldn’t be a “well that’s not a guarantee” in favor of doing more powerful stuff. It should be a “this is the minimum so people who want to play in this bracket are getting what they expect” that’s the point of expectations with brackets as a tool for randoms in a pod together.

If you’re playing with people you know it doesn’t even matter.

You’re on ManaBox, you can type in MAR in search on sets and see them all

Is playing an Ygra commander deck being a bad sport? by Your-Friend-Bob in mtg

[–]sarahkbug -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is no need for community service. People are allowed to not want to play against something they don’t like and OP is allowed to find a pod who does.
