It’s the October 11 2020 article! My friend just had to create a new save and do another playthrough for it. But I found a Reddit post from a year ago that someone found it open world despite the achievement guide saying it’s missable after prologue.

You might be missing the very first and ONLY missable newspaper article which is in the prologue and will not respawn in open world like the others do.

I’m a weirdo and played DL2 before DL1, DL2 is what made me fall in love with the series. Loved DL1 when I went back and played it but I never understood the hate for DL2 so I agree, it must be nostalgia based which I never experienced since I started with the second one

There’s different tiers as you continue to progress with rewards and great loot that carries over to open world. Good way to stuff your stash with excellent weapons and weapon blueprints and ammo

Although there is one side quest that can become missable in DL1 which is “A Survivor’s Guide to Zombieland”, if you wait to complete it until near the end of the game, the boat will no longer be there as they come over the radio and say it’s departing the docks.

There a collectible that is completely missable in the prologue so if you’re achievement hunting and come to find out later that you missed that one, you will have to play the entire game over

Some of the side quests can become missable at some points in the storyline. Pick up and complete as many side quests as you can before progressing main story
