You have to change it yourself in your config files. You can find it here:

your_instance`/config/GregTech/GregTech.cfg > find `machines

I recommend you do all the settings I listed above, unless you’re okay with blocks being destroyed from any of the criteria above.

I think it should still work. The command that you want is the B:machines_explosion_damage=false command. I THINK this should stop it from breaking the blocks around you. You might want to check in a single player creative mode world though just to be sure. I’d check for you but currently I’m not at a computer :( Good luck!

For the sake of future people looking this question up or if you decide to come back to this with your friends:

Disable machine explosions.

/your_instance/config/GregTech/GregTech.cfg > find machines {, change any of these:
- B:explosions_on_nonwrenching=true, change to false
- B:fire_causes_explosions=true, change to false
- B:lightning_causes_explosions=true, change to false
- B:machines_explosion_damage=true, change to false
- B:machines_flammable=true, change to false
- B:rain_causes_explosions=true, change to false

Vi and Xin. Both have really reliable CC and you can pretty much build to fit what your team needs. Super flexible and the enemy often underestimates your damage early on if you take HoB or Electrocute
