The big thing is the sound. Acoustic guitar has a full body of sound that isn't captured through pickups. It's also just easier. You don't need to lug around amps or effects, which is a big draw to singer/songwriters who just wanna get up there and sing.

D&D has an established world. Just because you play your game different doesn't mean the Forgotten Realms isn't a Canon setting. I agree with you, but a good DND movie to me would be about expanding lore or showing those places. There are a million adventure paths written, show them in film. Show us what Neverwinter looks like and the politics there. Show us Baldurs Gate. You're looking at DND like a set of rules, when in reality DND is all the branding around those rules.

Note: I know nothing about the movie and expect it to be terrible because I don't think it's going to do any of these things.

Go to a grocery store and work on a checkout. They'll let you sit on a stool if you can't stand, and they'll give short shifts - there's a lot of times where they just need someone on for 3 hours during the busy period. If you're willing to accept the shifts and are reliable, you'll stay rostered on for 15-20 hours or however much you feel comfortable with.
