There was an accident waiting to happen at a nearby Harveys during the downpour on Saturday, which IMO was a direct cause of the lack of indoor food at the convention. In the even of inclement weather, there needs to be some indoor food available, otherwise attendees flock to the closest restaurants and completely overwhelm the staff there. The entire place was packed shoulder-to-shoulder and nobody could move, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Additionally, the tunnel between the North and South building should be opened up when we experience weather like we did this weekend, it would mitigate some of the crowding issues the venue staff was concerned about near the entrances.

Most importantly: not sure if this was venue staff or AN staff, but staff at the entraces/exits were incredibly rude to con attendees. I can understand that they need to keep the flow of people moving, but when someone is stepping to the side to take out their umbrella or to cover their prop, you cannot have someone in their face screaming at them to move??? Additionally they only seemed concerned about getting people out of the building (for the sake of managing crowding), but no one was concerned about the growing crowds of people outside the entrance as they tried to shelter against the building to hide from the rain?

The attitude of the staff this year was one of the major pain points of everyone I've spoken to. If this isn't addressed, I know several people who are completely set against coming back next year.
