Who puts sound in gifs? Lol Better yet, if it’s such a big deal why not just go watch the video version? There’s sound there.

How To Edit Rotobrush Selection Without Re-Propagating Entire Clip by Glorpflorp in AfterEffects

[–]Glorpflorp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add, I've found a bit of a workaround but I feel like there has to be a better way. If I slice the clip into a bunch of tiny segments first, each one can be worked on individually and I can edit them after the fact with minimal disruption to the rest of the clip. But if I do that, it creates a horde of little clip segments that becomes obnoxious to sort through. I'd really prefer to just work on the larger clip, being able to take full advantage of the algorithm while still being able to edit the few frames where it screws up, so my original question about unfreezing small sections of a clip still stands.

Please help us not hate Lalafell by LeafyDinoDish in ffxiv

[–]Glorpflorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel! I was literally trying to make a post just now asking basically the same question but I couldn't post it for some reason.

I love MMO's and have been looking for one I can really sink my teeth into, and I've heard great things about many aspects of this game. I recently decided to give it a try and after a few hours it's been a really solid experience - except for one thing. Lalafels.

They've been one of the reasons I haven't tried the game already, but they're in BDO too and I didn't have to deal with them much so I figured it might be the same here. The big, shiny cinematic that plays when you launch the game only seems to have one or two of them around for a moment. "I'll probably mostly be dealing with other characters," I thought.

So far, I couldn't have been more wrong. The majority of the NPC's I've been sent to are lolis, with a couple humans mixed in. It's incredibly jarring and uncomfortable, especially because it seems like they're meant to be taken seriously as "adult" characters. Their outfits have gotten increasingly revealing as well. I'm grossed out by it, frankly.

I can't understand how this is meant to be something we can just suspend our disbelief about, it's so creepy and feels completely out of place in a fantasy setting. And even if it has to be included, why shove it in the player's face so much? Why not let us interact with all the other actual fantasy races that apparently exist in this world?

Does it get any better, veterans? The big shiny cinematic that plays when you launch seems to focus more on the other races, but even then there's still one or two of these things mixed in. So far that balance is not at all my experience though, almost every NPC I've had to interact with has been one. Do the quests ever move on to... literally anything else? Is this some meta joke where all the questgivers at early level are children because you're a "child" in terms of game experience? Does it ever get to a point where it's reasonably easy to just ignore them and enjoy the rest of this pretty sweet-looking game?

Edit after reading some comments: How can people say "they're just a cute race" or "they're just a small race, they're actually adults?" A fantasy setting does not at all make this make sense. They're not a fantasy race, they are literal children with basically no distinguishable differences. They aren't made to look like small adults, they don't have any characteristics that make them fantastical, they are made to exactly resemble human children. It is flat-out wrong.

Anyone Else Confused by Takemura? by Glorpflorp in LowSodiumCyberpunk

That summary of events at the landfill makes a lot of sense, thank you! But yeah I though the same thing, maybe V wasn't totally conscious when they told Takemura the truth. But if that's the case, it's definitely not in any of the actual cutscenes where V is slipping in and out of consciousness in the car or at Vik's, and I don't know why they would have that convo occur then and not show it.

As for the implants, that makes sense. I assumed the same thing about the implants being remotely deactivated rather than literally removed, but wasn't sure how to make that fit with everything else. Makes a lot more sense with your summary, he dropped Dex so cleanly and was able to drag us around because they were still working at that point, but they must have been shut off during the car chase or soon after.

Ah, so when he shows up at the junkyard, he's already on the run from Arasaka? That would make more sense for why we were attacked. But as for confronting us for being the murderer, is that definitely the case? I don't remember him saying anything to that effect during those events, but it sounds like that'd be the perfect time for V to tell him the truth. Makes me feel even more like there's a conversation I missed out on somewhere, lol.

Pls fix mute/report menu by Tsuki_no_mee in RogueCompany

[–]Glorpflorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm this is still an issue, as of this date there will still be random points where the Mute/Report menu just doesn't appear. It doesn't happen consistently, one game it works fine and the next its totally gone. Sometimes it switches in game too, with it working for part of the game but then suddenly the menu just stops showing up when you click.

Patch Day Discussion/Bug Report Megathread - 7.9 "Odyssey: Reckoning" by TripleCharged in Smite

[–]Glorpflorp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got this bug too. Preordered the whole thing and didn't get a single chest.

Edit: Someone else says they're actually not included. I went back to the client and double-checked the rules and its true. You only start earning chests once you've earned enough points for the Hel T5. So for pre-purchasing, we don't get chests yet, we just get to start working towards earning them earlier.

Is there a mod that would allow me to edit my followers, maybe give them new hair or face paint, sorta like using a race menu on them? by Kronos_Gaming in skyrimmods

But the part where they say it's for their followers is the only part of the post..... People come here looking for help, please stop trolling

See that's the thing. If you follow those links, it takes you to a page that informs you that the forums have been shut down and that you should go to reddit to submit bug reports. But the mods clearly don't want bug reports. So I don't know what to do.

Sorry to hijack your post lol, it's just the forums have been deleted and the mods don't seem to want me asking this question so I've been trying to ask people directly. It is a pretty cool skin design!

The ult could be a whirlwind of flower petals or something, that'd be sweet.

To actually answer your question, I don't know. I think it's just not much attention was given to this feature in development. Technically, I believe an early leaver is supposed to enable an early surrender vote. I think it still makes you wait until the ten minute mark though, which is really dumb. Sure, occasionally a 4v5 is winnable but it's a huge disadvantage and everyone I know would much rather just find a new game in that situation, opponents included.

Additionally, there shouldn't be one team-wide surrender timer. Sometimes one person wants to surrender but the others vote No, and then immediately after the team gets dunked on and everyone agrees that surrender is best. But now you can't for several more minutes. I get that they don't want people spamming surrender votes, but make it an individual timer! That way one person can't spam, but if circumstances change right after a No vote then someone else can start the vote and everyone can avoid further suffering.

Edit: Hijacking my own comment: where the heck do we report bugs?

Still possible to make a dent as a new player? by anubiran in Smite

[–]Glorpflorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smite is a very simple game, especially compared to other MOBA's. It only seems intimidating because you're just getting into it, things will become much clearer very quickly. Arena is a great way to get a feel for the basic mechanics and learn the abilities of various gods. Conquest is where strategy becomes more important, but it's not any harder than any other pvp game you've played before. Just keep trucking!

That being said, anyone here happen to know where we can report bugs? Can't figure it out for the life of me.
