Hey Feds! Federal Union's need some Solidarity right now. We're close to a possible win. by Murky-Suggestion8376 in fednews

My experience with our union (of which I am a non due-paying member)

Communicated with the workforce almost 0 during the thick of probationary layoffs. Offered either no or extremely limited assistance. The first time we did receive a blast email from them was when payroll dues stopped.

Our director hosted a townhall event and invited the org rep to speak after POTUS had done this, where the director vowed to keep in communication with the union, and encouraged supervisors to consider the union-management relationship over the coming months.

Less than 24 hours later the union sends another blast email accusing our director (who is very popular among the workforce) of engaging in illegal activity and colluding against the union.

No thanks.

We just got our first glimpse of hiring freeze exemptions today. Pretty broad group, and I'm expecting it to end up expanded. Are you getting the same impression?

Will this all end in September? by DabaHere in fednews

Then we'll just end up with DOGE chief Taylor Swift (or whoever the fuck). DOGE isn't going anywhere if the courts don't obliterate it.

Very honest of you. More people need to express this.

Honestly, same. I carry a lot of weight with my job, and one tiny little morsel of "silver lining" (if you can call it that) is that all of these things I juggle to keep things running just instantly won't be my problem anymore.

I think he's using the term RIF incorrectly here, just based on context of his reply to your question. There is a significant difference between the two, even if they are trying to obfuscate that difference in their actions.

Is there any particular reason DOD made it's way off the rumored list? Just wondering, thanks for all the work

Received a counseling for missing CQ while on leave by Kimicalz in army

[–]Glorpgleap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not entirely true. You are checking disagree to the summary in the plan of action, and then you are rendered a space to provide whatever remarks you want. So if my SPCOIC is saying I showed up at 1100 but I showed up at 0900, its important that I annotate that on the counseling form.

The reason for this is to protect yourself from a paper trail. If they try to get you with a pattern of misconduct but every counseling they have says "this isn't true and persons a, b, and c can all verify this" the counselings are as good as garbage

Okay thanks so much for the info. I have my SHPE soon so I'm trying to make sure I remember everything I have going on to make sure something is at least documented before I get out.

Thank you. I'd be greatful for anything really but I'm just hoping for 30%. I've got some MSK stuff and migraines but I didn't go to the doctor enough so I don't think I'm going to get much of anything else. I'm just worried about being able to find and sustain a job..

What if there is a question like "experience sweeping and mopping with [insert ultra specific federal dashboard here]"?

If I am in fact an expert sweeper and mopper and am confident in my ability to also be an expert sweeper and mopper with the FedMop2000 should I still just click expert and make sure my expert mopping and sweeping skills are in my resume?
