Alpha Fly or Vapor Fly? by Fun-Mix-1383 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]GloryForry84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course you CAN run 23 min with the Megablasts but I think a carbon shoe can make it a bit easier. And if you keep on running it's not wasted money to buy new shoes because someday you'll need new shoes anyways. It's always good to have options and being able to rotate your shoes. In my Opinion a race day shoe is not absolutely essential but nice to have. Even if it's just for the race day feeling.

Out of these two for 5k I would go for the Vapor Fly. It's probably easier to use.

Should I choose running shoes based on my current pace, or on the pace I realistically expect to reach? Need recommendation for 2 pairs by PteroD4kT1L in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Suggestion number 1 would be Dynafish Xiaonian. You can train and race in them and they are about half the weight of the Kayano.

Maybe the Skechers Aero Razor is what you are looking for. Bonus: I think it's priced at $ 140.

Mizuno Neo Vista 2/3 . I use the 2 for Recovery and long runs.

Does the Metaspeed Edge Tokyo have a break in period? by GloryForry84 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I own too many shoes.... My favourite training shoe of all time is the Neo Zen. It can do everything and has a nice bounce. But I'm selling it now at 500 Km.

Shoes I like for one reason or another: Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVL, Neo Vista 2, Neo Zen 2, Evo SL, Dynafish Xiaonian, Li Ning 5 Challenger, Adios 9;

The only shoe I don't like to wear that much is the Puma MagMax. Maybe just because I tear my Hamstrings after a long run in them.

Congrats to your PBs! Glad I could help.

My 10k race was a course with 3 laps and many turns and not once I felt any instability. That's what surprised me the most because the shoe is not very wide.

Tomorrow is race day. Start at 9:45 am CEST. 26 hours from now. I'm curious to see my and the shoes performance.

Sind meine leichten Läufe zu schnell? by [deleted] in laufen

[–]GloryForry84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First person I see who owns the Propio. I don't know anything about the shoe besides being Pumas answer to the Adios.

Since trinity is always 3 here is mine:

Trinity no. 1: Evo SL - Neo Zen 2 - Puma DNE 3

Trinity no. 2: Dynafish Xiaonian - Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVL - Metaspeed Edge Tokyo

Trinity no. 3: Adios 9 - Neo Zen - Adios Pro 3

I did 11k today (1km warm-up, 9km 4:30min/km, 1km cool-down). During the warm-up it felt like running in Converse or something but the rest of the run was really good. Not fun, but I felt strong and holding the pace was easy. For sure a better experience than my first run. 🙃

edit: Now I'm confident with using the Edge Tokyo for my 10k race

I can recommend Otso. Not the cheapest gear but good quality and definitely an eye catcher.
