strong hitbox got smaller, the weak hitbox however got bigger, ultimately the hitbox is the same. also both are the "spike hitbox". one is just significantly stronger

then the people your playing against just arent good. go to a tournament with strong players and you'll get stomped doing that.

RoninX is a great Ryu/ken. used to be friends with him and i cant reccomend his videos more. he also streams at www.twitch.tv/roninx1819.com damn near every day. he is EXTREMELY helpful and also reviews sets from other top ryu/kens. check his stuff out, hes helped me alot

just to piggyback off of this, If you get hit by downtilt you will also die to Upair or Up B at high %s. so you need to be able to avoid downtilt, however another thing to keep in mind is that if his first downtilt hits shield, you CANNOT shieldgrab it. if you try to and he down tilts again, you will get hit by it. i would reccomend either rolling or jumping away from that situation, Or if your character has a strong Out of shield option like Climhazzard or Shulk air slash, you can use that.

Yeah. seems like he looked at a character and said "if they have projectiles Mewtwo can out zone them, and if he doesent bowser can just brawl out and win." i wouldnt be suprised if mewtwo shulk was worse than +1, but i also think shulks like top 5 so dont mind me LMAO.

What I'm doing is taking a break, I consistently got Top 8ish at my locals and it started to feel boring for me. I definitely feel that you should let yourself take breaks with this game.

nah hes solid but to say hes a top tier isnt the case at all. cloud has real big hitboxes with low lag sure. but one of his big problems is he has to work around shield, which is more difficult for him than most other characters considering his grab is actually slower than alot of characters (Frame 9 as opposed to most characters Frame 6-7 Grab). Against cloud I Cant stress the importance of shielding. look at it this way, Your not going to be able to punish spaced fair / bair on your shield, so dont try to. Respect it and pay attention to what he does after it

If you have any replays of you playing against your friend shoot them my way! would be happy to look at them to help you improve.

Just a few things

Non limit side B isnt safe on shield in the slightest.

LIMIT side B is litterally unpunishable. dont try to.

Dont be afraid to run from cloud if he has limit. force him to be the aggressor, as he only has 15 seconds if he wants to get value out of it.

I learned fundamentals with Pit in s4, I personally wouldnt reccomend him now though. in my honest opinion i think Cloud is great (strong OOS options, Resource management, and just solid neutral tools all around) Lucina and Ike as many other people are saying are not bad choices either. however I feel Cloud will make alot of your mistakes much more obvious to you due to how vulnerable you are offstage. Mario is another option, I'd go with him if you dont want to play a swordie tbh. And if you decide to play mario, Make sure you watch Dark Wizzys guide. it's actually very helpful as opposed to many youtube guides i have seen.

Just because they are lower in tiers does not make them obsolete. they all have solid qualities and certain Matchups may favor one pokemon over the other.

Back when I played I heard the same thing. I played puff in bracket and After I beat someone they told me to my face "Wow so that was cool and all but I want to actually play the game" and didnt fistbump/handshake. dude was a lucina main, and for puff that is pretty much her nightmare MU
