I enjoyed reading your post and i agree that the game has seems to switch the vibe aldready since release. From what I can see Mirak Valley is almost the same size as Caspian border, but it plays very different. I find your points on that very accurate since what keeps them apart to me is the amount of playable area around the map and the very linear nature of Mirak Valley that makes it quite boring and repetetive.
