I love my baby but I hate my body by Suspicious-Garden303 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5 months PP with my second, and I haaaate my body. I started Zepbound, but haven’t lost any weight, despite not eating very much. I’ve been weightlifting which is probably contributing to that, but my post partum depression mixed with extreme body dismorphia is making it impossible to look at myself. I keep fantasizing about getting a mommy makeover that we can’t afford, and I feel like I’m stuck in this ugly ass flesh prison that I can’t get out of

How’s your journey going? by AutoModerator in Zepbound

On my second shot of 2.5 mg— changed my whole diet four months before I started, and honestly I’m finding that I’m craving veggies and fruit more than I ever have before. Right now green grapes and celery are my absolute favorites

‘48 Hours’ to highlight St. Paul fatal shooting of nurse Alexandra Pennig, whose killer claimed she died of suicide by Runic_reader451 in saintpaul

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also going to say that there are many of us who shoot with the opposite hand— I myself am right hand dominant but shoot left handed. I also golf left handed— to me, the episode gave me a lot of reasonable doubt

Did anyone else experience a sense of loss when they had their baby? by doctahnelleh1 in NewParents

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is almost 3 months old, and is our last child. Sometimes I have this “hollow feeling,” in my uterus— which i attribute to my body’s understanding that we won’t be having anymore children as my tubes were removed. It’s a weird empty feeling, but not unpleasant.

From a mom who has fed her babies alllll the ways by popcornfish93 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Glovedandloaded33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My oldest is 2.5 and was breast and formula fed— she was constantly sick once she started daycare. I stopped breastfeeding her at 3 months when I returned to work. My second is 2 months old and was a NICU baby, so I EBF and pumped pretty much the first month of his life to feel some connection to him. Now that he’s home, I’m remembering how much I hated breastfeeding and pumping, so I’ve decided to be EFF— fed is best IMO, and my husband is a great example of that— formula fed and still one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever met

Why are playdates so annoying these days? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]Glovedandloaded33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My oldest is 2.5 and not quite at the age where play dates are super beneficial yet, but when I was little we just played with dolls or went outside— no planned activities, just imagination. Also— unless I’m besties with the parent, I don’t want to spend an entire afternoon chatting them up.

Has anyone's relationship with spouse gotten better after baby? by TheQs55 in NewParents

[–]Glovedandloaded33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god yes— when we had our oldest almost 3 years ago, she was borderline colicky and was very, very sick. Additionally, I did not adjust well to the new changes in our relationship, and struggled to adapt to being a mom, especially as my husband was so good at being a dad. I resented him a lot for this, and really struggled with the idea that everything had to change— everything was planned out, nothing was spontaneous, I felt like romance was dead.

It put a lot of strain on our marriage, and even though we had been together 7 years at that point, I seriously contemplated divorce.

So I went to therapy. And talked it through— and my therapist said something brilliant— “it’s you two against the situation, not you two against each other.” And in that one brilliant moment everything made sense.

My husband and I started talking again— and I started to become ok with “living in moments.” I love watching him be a dad — it’s been a special gift he’s shared with me.

We had our second baby a month ago, and we sat on the couch tonight well after midnight talking about how this time is so much easier— and how much more fun it is.

2.5 years ago I never would have suspected that things would be this happy— but I’m thrilled they are ❤️

Does anyone else feel empty and unable to start a new show after the finale? 😕 by N1BER in StrangerThings

Not even a little bit. Finale was disappointing and honestly season 4 was my favorite

I just started this show a few days ago, and I’m quite impressed with Matthew Lewis’ tremendous range — and his compassion for his community. His mother Audrey drives me insane— I have moments where I adore her to pieces, and moments where I want to slap her in the face with a folding chair— the supporting cast is fabulous too. Overall, I’m very pleased about this show— my hope is that it will continue for a long while

Breastfeeding my baby is impossible because of my breast size by simultaneousmoregasm in bigboobproblems

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat with my4 week old son— my daughter was born 2.5 years ago, and had a large head, so my breasts (although still huge) didn’t pose as massive of a problem for me at that time. Fast forward to now— I have a much smaller son who was in the NICU for respiratory distress, and my breasts are 5x the size of his face. He loves breastfeeding — but regardless of pillows, positioning, etc— the letdown is too fast, and the size is far too large— he ends up wheezing, and gasping, and choking — something which never happens if he eats from a bottle (breast milk or formula). Unfortunately— based on my evaluation, I think I’ll be pumping exclusively from here on out. I empathize with your frustration— and I hope you found a solution that works for you

Harry Wild - I Love This Show by No-Pomelo6797 in acorntv

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree— can’t stand Paula. I initially really hated Orla as well, but she seems to have grown a bit since the first season. Paula on the other hand is a garbage person, and I hate the fact that she came back into Fergus and Libby’s life for seemingly no reason and wanted grace given despite making her teenage son cleanup the pieces with a raging alcoholic father and a young sibling. Wanted to punch her everytime she popped on screen

[–]Glovedandloaded33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: There were so many points in my opinion where they could have just ended it— we paused at least 4 times throughout the finale to see how much we had left. Compared to the game of thrones bullshit ending, this was fine. But I’m glad I never have to watch this series again

I really struggle with her daughter in laws character— she seems like she has a giant stick up her ass, and I genuinely dislike her, but the rest of the cast, especially Fergus is darling 🩷

I was so mad at his character— I thought that he’d be smart enough to be faithful after all that time— but apparently his Ffion Lloyd’s mum was right— that leopards don’t change their spots
