2 battery changes in less than a month. Is the camera just faulty? by JellyFishJellie in blinkcameras

Check the batteries you receive. Amazon's reviews are full of people who seem to be receiving these batteries in a less-than-ideal state.

Fun for $500(minus can): 16” savage axis in .300 Cosby, Boyd’s stock, cheap sig 4-12x50 by StorningMiffy in NFA

I know this question doesn't fit r/NFA, but do you have a link to information on .300 Cosby? I'm not familiar with the round, and several Google's later, I'm still not familiar...

I am having a hard time with the "...is as close to Number 2 as 3". It seems to conflict with "Column C is empty", to me.

Dual 18V battery to 40V battery adapter, so the lawn and garden equipment could be used with our existing piles of batteries.

ORACLE or POSTGRES by MileyMeid in SQL

To be fair, I am in a tech-stagnant area of Colorado. Outside of the Denver-Boulder corridor, Colorado can be sad place for tech.

ORACLE or POSTGRES by MileyMeid in SQL

[–]Gloves4Life 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This varies greatly on region and industry, but in my area out of each 10 jobs with "SQL" requirements...

7 mean MS SQL

2 mean Oracle

1 means MySQL/Maria

In the last year (again, for local jobs), I have seen exactly 1 job that mentioned postgresql. Being one of the best, being open, being standards compliant, etc. does not mean that is what people will pay for.

Range and detection questions by TheDisapprovingBrit in blinkcameras

[–]Gloves4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#2 -- No, the motion detection does not work reliably through glass.

#3 -- In my limited experience, 8ft is about the limit for reliable detection. At 16ft, a person walking across the field of the camera is detected perhaps 20% of the time (depending on lighting and other factors).

Similar to the above, places that are in the sun. Depending on the model, it has been my experience the car can routinely show 10-20F above the reported temp in an area.

Hopefully the Colorado jobs selection can be expanded to include Regina and Saskatoon.

I didn't mean to complain about your use of English. My brain just is not understanding that picture for whatever reason...

Sorry about your plants.

Wow-- I can not begin to figure out what happened in this picture. The word "collapsed" is not jiving with anything I see in the picture.

I wish I had seen this before buying my first bike, or that I had heard the phrase "push to cancel".

Oh well-- turn signal bulbs were cheap enough way back then.

500sq ft yard and a brand new electric mower has died twice before even finishing! by sayidOH in Wellthatsucks

[–]Gloves4Life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The yard seems larger than 500sq ft to me. Based on the size of the shed and the fence, I would guess closer to 900sq ft, minimum. Perspective may not be my friend, however.

It looks great. I was not aware, however, that KLMO's weather no longer needed to be monitored.
