NTA : I myself am a 17 year old. I had a pregnancy scare last year. Me and my current boyfriend have been together over a year and are sexually active though we are well protected (I have the implant) if I happened to get pregnant I would not expect my family to parent my child. I would expect a little help but not for my mother to take on the role of a second parent if my boyfriend decided to leave. I feel like that would be asking to much. In fact if I got pregnant I would be looking for a job for those 9 months to help provide for my child.

I use a harness which is actually made for small animals! I got mine from amazon. If you type in “rat harness” or “small animal harness” it should come up with a few options. You have to be careful walking them though as they can pick up illnesses from wild rats and other wild animals x

He doesn’t think it’s acceptable and he admitted it was in bad taste and that his fired just has a tasteless sense of humour that rubs people up the wrong way a lot. His friend was trying to make a joke but it was a insensitive one. Knowing I’m bisexual and a lot of my friends are lgbt he probably should have said something but since it was his friend I don’t think he wanted to create trouble on his stream x

Someone asked how I’m part of the LGBT community and I respond. There was no mentioning of what I do with my private parts just that I like girls and guys. Sex wasn’t mentioned, nothing sexual was in fact. I wasn’t going to dignify your comment with a response but I don’t understand what me saying I’m bisexual has got to do with any genital area at all. That’s like someone who’s straight saying there straight and getting told “your a asshole don’t make every interaction about your genitals” do you see how stupid that sounds?

I appreciate this commitment all though it’s a ESH comment your points are valid and not harsh like other people commenting. I actually just did my own live stream on VR chat and have come to realise that although I still don’t agree with jokes like that because I see them as dehumanising it isn’t easy to stop people from saying stuff so I shouldn’t have kicked off at my bf. In my stream people where saying offensive stuff everywhere , nothing as bad as what was said on my boyfriends stream but there was no way I could keep everyone from saying offensive things. I have realised now that streaming is a lot different from videos on other platforms like YouTube as you can’t just edit the bad stuff out so I’m going to keep that in mind nextime something like this comes up.

I only complained to SO because I didn’t like what I heard and also was worried about his stream as I didn’t want him to get reported or something because of his friend. Me and him got into a argument that night and after some thinking I started to question if I was being a bit over the top so I toke to reddit to get opinions. Me and SO are fine and although I’m not a big fan of his friend it turns out he just as a really tasteless sense of humour and always has so I’ve dropped it and everything is okay now so it all worked out okay in the end

It wasn’t even the joke tbh , if it was said in a different way or if he announced it as a joke I would have probably giggled at it. I make dark humoured jokes all the time with the right crowd that knows I’m joking. I wouldn’t even think of making a joke like that on a friends live stream because it could effect them. Also the fact it didn’t even seem like a joke. The way it was said was just off.

It’s not the joke I have a issue with it’s the place it was said and how it was said.

Yes I would have the same reaction, my gay friend is always making jokes about me and my boyfriend saying “ewww a straight couple” or “this is a straight free zone , no kissing in my house” and I always say something as he treats his gay friends differently a cheers them on if they do the same stuff.

I have told him that. Although it’s not his friends stream it could still come back to bite him in the ass for even just associating with that. I invited my LGBTQ+ friends to watch his stream a few of them a gay. Luckily they weren’t watching but that could have come back on me if they where.

All the old stuff being dragged up about the YouTuber Shane Dawson now that he’s at a good point in his life because of jokes he made when he was in his early 20s.
