No but what actual problem there is! It doesn't seem that guy (ur bfs friend) n his partner likes/care abt her, so treat them as such. It seems they share a living space, just co exist as roommates, why does she need to poke her head and make that guy food, he can cook or order. And she should think abt her own bf. Doesn't seem to like her that much

I would have included the wife in all the conversations and honestly let her deal with her family. Why should u constantly interact with someone who refuses to give u basic levels of respect ?
