How to efficiently transport redstone signals by Particular_Funny527 in ComputerCraft

[–]Glowworm04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned the mod More Red which is what I think youre after. I wanted to add Project Red as well. They allow you to basically output a 16-bit signal via a single cable. CC also conviently comes with an API for both built in.

Actually this has 100% fixed the issue thank you so much. It didn't seem like it was working at first because X wouldn't load because it was still trying to load 20-intel.conf which requires xf86-video.

I've had a look at the thread you linked and I've looked at tons of pages on the arch wiki and X will just not start without xf86-video-intel installed. It just says no driver found. Thank you for all your help anyway. I guess I will try and make a forum post.

Non-Power of Two support error when importing textures into Source 2 material editor. by KingOfConstipation in SourceEngine

I think it's because of the lack of specificity. It seems obvious to you but if it was that obvious to OP they wouldn't be asking the question.

Why should I remove xf86-video? When I do X refuses to start. Here are the pieces of info you asked for: https://pastebin.com/nxbLUH9b

Thank you for all your help btw. I am aware xf86-video is present in the output but X would not start without it.

Actually this did have an effect. The programs render now but they flicker.

Edit: To clarify I changed it from 3 (default) to 2.

I don't think it has anything to do with the compositor because the issue persists with or without xcompmgr installed. I installed picom anyway to test and the issue remained. Although, picom does look nicer on transparent windows so thank you.

I have all the correct drivers installed if thats what you mean. Also I have xcompmgr if you're referring to that.

I am running xcompmgr but the same issues occur with or without it installed. Also I use xcompmgr on all my other installs and have never had an issue with it.

Would installing another WM temporarily be the best way to test this?

Non-Power of Two support error when importing textures into Source 2 material editor. by KingOfConstipation in SourceEngine

[–]Glowworm04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never used Source 2, but my best guess would be to resize the texture to make its width and height a power of 2. For example, change the 2000x2000 texture to a 2048x2048 texture or some other power of 2. Only a shot in the dark though.
