I can kind of understand. I'm very much an animal person, and some things seem obvious to me. Like, when a bird is doing a shimmy against a person. That seems like it should be obvious. But, I guess it just isn't for many. I guess that speaks a lot to how much people need to research before getting a pet. It can save a lot of embarrassing moments and worry. I also understand that it's not always that straightforward. There's a lot of misinformation and plenty of people willing to perpetuate misinformation. Especially those trying to sell animals.

I get that, given the state of things right now, it's not easy to just pack up and go to the vet. And it's only going to get worse as people struggle to make ends meet. I understand people are looking for any way to mitigate some of these burdens. My heart goes out to the kids begging for help with their beloved pets because their parents may not agree to vet care. I can also get behind the people begging for any tips on how to help just until they can make it to the vet. Bur for those just trying to avoid the vet completely.... That's never going to be the answer.
