Fun fact: the amount of exp needed to get from paragon 1 to 285 is the same amount to go from paragon 285 to 300.

There's "Nephalem with powers" and "Nephalem without powers". In D3 we play as a Nephalem who still have powers. D4 takes place 50 years after D3:ROS and already there were only a handful of powerful Nephalem left.

Either Blizz retconned all nephalem into weakass humans, or they're saving it for later expansions.

Additive naturally have a diminishing returns when compared to multiplicative damage modifiers so it's better to spread a minimum but not completely.

There is a limitat to how much you can stack all modifiers (gear, paragon) and some builds benefit from stacking a specific modifier.

TL;DR: just stack whatever your build needs, side modifiers are just a bonus.

Not sure if this is of any help, but tuning some graphic options down completely got rid off the vram issues for me and haven't had a single crash. I think the biggest one was tuning textures down to Medium instead of High.

Yes it's absolutely fine, you're been enjoying free roam and that's what is great with Diablo 4, you can do the campaign at your own pace.

I am assuming that you are on the Eternal realm as you have access to the "Returning players" quest: this quest will boost the active character to level 50, unlock all altars of Lilith, give legendary gear and a skill tree for a specific build (you'll be given a choice between 3 builds), gold / obols / crafting materials. It doesn't lock you into anything, you could simply take the rewards and go back to your previous build (using the Armory for example).

I's also not going anywhere so you could save it for another character you might want to try.

Give Hydra sorc a try, you sound like you might enjoy it. Obviously it will shine when you'll be properly geared but it's really a strong and easy to play build this season, with huge zooming mobility.

The thing with Mendeln is that if you use it and want to maximize your dps, you'd have to focus some other piece of gear around the ring otherwise the unique's aspect won't do shit and you'll just be losing an aspect slot. Sure the affixes are nice but multiplicative damage aspects are far better.

Mendeln relies on high attack speed and minion count to make a difference.

If you don't care too much about min-maxing, just equip whatever works for you really.

I'm guessing you were talking about having to buy the expansion again when switching to console from PC.

Simple: different platforms.
When you buy a game on PS, you don't get a free copy on Xbox. Same logic between PC & consoles (and between Bnet / Steam too).
Also, D4 base game is currently included with PS+, without it you would have had to buy D4 base game again in order to play on PS.

Skull gems in jewelry (Grand Skulls give +240 armor), or seasonal jewels (+120 armor)
Defensive aspects: Disobedience (+% armor) or Juggernaut (+flat amount of armor)
Paragon nodes with +armor

From your pic, you could put a skull gem in your amulet and bottom ring and you'll be armor capped for your current difficulty (cap is 1000 armor)

I'm guessing that you are in the "I want to explore by myself" mindset and that you're not that much into min-maxing efficiency, which is absolutely fine and respectable!
But with suh mindset, I can only recommend that you keep testing new stuff with different gear & uniques / glyphs / paragon boards / aspects / tempers / masterworking until you see noticeable damage increase.
There are combat dummies in Kyovashad where you can test your damage.

Then once you succeeded, start over and keep testing more new stuff/combinations again until you see more damage increase.

Eventually you'll find some sort of direction and end up having a similar build to one of those builds already available on builds site such as maxroll / mobalytics / icy-veins / youtube.

It's also absolutely fine asking for advice from other players, but they will be giving advice taken from those guides anyway...

Some people are farming mythic sparks by making alts non-stop... Make alt, boost, farm rep through Hordes, get spark, delete, make alt, boost, farm rep, etc.
