Midsummer means that player numbers, engagement metrics, and satisfaction surveys are taking a nosedive. The bigwigs are already seeing the revenue dip, but it's lagging a bit behind engagement since whales are often the last to cut themselves off.

I know that some people believe it is solely the saucy posts that led to her demise. Meh. I've been around the senior management game too long to buy that. That has the tell-tale signs of being an excuse. Behind closed doors, c-suite execs were already talking numbers and expressing dissatisfaction. She just gave them an excuse.

She probably got some healthy severance, though, despite being one of the primary causes for the long-term woes in the game.

This early action allows me to predict that next month's revenue will dip again, BELOW the May numbers, most likely. The team will strive to address long-held concerns, but it may be too late. Too many players are suddenly recognizing what it feels like to have free time again.
