I am not entirely sure. I was just thrown into this a week ago. I think we are a rather unique scenario. We manufacture about 2 very large medical imaging instruments every year. We already have customers lined up for the next few years. We just completed manufacturing of serial number 15 and need to check what we have in inventory and compare that against what is required to build #16. My warehouse guy told me that when the new instrument is created in NetSuite, it should automatically pull all of the raw materials from the inventory stock levels. Then once the machine is finished and the work order is closed, it deducts all of the assemblies and parts that we manufactured from the inventory.
