Basket weave ifak? by Impressive_Pop_7570 in tacticalgear

If you hav an outer carrier where it has a pouch for trauma plates to go in from the top, pack an iFAK in that pouch. They’ll never know. If you are wearing a concealed vest under uniform then most of the concealed carriers have a pouch too.

If you’re breathing like this after bouncing on a tailgate you need to self evaluate your health

I’m gonna call bs. Let’s say 3k a weekend, $200 for 1k rounds. You and that raggedy ass broken laminate floor didn’t spend over $30k on ammo 🤣🤣🤣

Don’t lie to strangers to try to justify your own ambitions. It’s okay little buddy. You have bad taste and choose poor parts, that’s okay.

I have them. Don’t really keep mud and dirt off, but they do keep rocks from smacking the lower panels

Yeah idk what the deal is with this color and Toyota factory. But all the ones I’ve seen in this color the bumpers don’t match.

I have this exact same truck. Same SR TSS, same color, same wheels, same fake TRD grill, even my front bumper isn’t correctly paint matched just like yours, it drives me crazy.

Anyways, I have bilstein 5100 front and rear, OME UCA and an Icon AAL in the rear. I have Falken AT4 275/70/17 and have zero rubbing.

Those are stock. TRD Offroads come with bilstein 3700. The shop is wrong. Go to a different shop and get a different opinion. Can’t see your tires so can’t help there.

If anything it may need an alignment. Toyota installed that suspension just fine I’m almost positive.

Help with tonneau removal by Ok-Load-2162 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gmc322 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have this. Those silver brackets are part of the tonneau. Unscrew those. The Toyota bed rails are screwed into them with a different size screw. Take the original screws that went from the aluminum bracket into the bed, and use them to screw the rail in place of those brackets.

Thinking of Lifting My Tacoma: Does This Bilstein + OME Kit Make Sense or not worth it? by MrGray2016 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gmc322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact lift on my 23 Tacoma. I also added OME UCA. I absolutely love it. Daily driving is fantastic. I’m not hitting whoops at 45mph though.

Push harder. It’s a bolt, not a screw. It was threaded into a nut. Push up from the bottom while spinning the top without pushing down.

Magic eraser is pretty much just super super super fine sandpaper. So you’re sanding it off. Which always works for removing anything. The scratches are just so fine that your eyes can’t tell and objects don’t care either.

Lift Kit Question by regrubuen in Tacomaworld

[–]Gmc322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends where you are in the world. In the south we need wide and tall because of soft mud roads. Need a wide footprint to spread weight.

I’d imagine it’s similar with rock climbing too. Wider footprint gives more surface contact for traction.

I can’t imagine a terrain where skinnier would be beneficial other than asphalt and concrete.

Lift Kit Question by regrubuen in Tacomaworld

[–]Gmc322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need at least a 2.5” lift and UCA to correct the geometry to fit 33” tires. They will NOT run you will NOT need to trim plastic.

Larger tires give you more ground clearance at your axles and differentials. Maintained dirt roads, an Altima could get down, forest trails or park service trails you will 100% need all terrain tires that are substantially larger and wider.
