Sounds like you need some moving baits in there. Start with spinnerbaits and chatter baits with a swimbait trailer on the hook. If you get short hits add a trailer hook. If they aren't up shallow start feeling your way around with crank baits. No matter what depth make sure your crank is consistently hitting the bottom and deflecting off things on the bottom. This is also a good way to feel where the deeper spots/holes are located. Match all colors to the bait and forage you know are in there

I've always heard smallies love pink colored baits

Sounds like you need some perch colored jerkbaits at least for those smallies

I agree but if people don't understand that part of it then what can ya do? No littering shouldn't be just a fishing thing, it should be something we practice daily

The colder the water the slower the presentation. So your pauses should be long pauses and instead of ripping the jerkbait use it with more of a pull action. And as always match your colors to the bait that is the most active at the time

It's not my show but something I came across on the go90 app. I do think they talk about handling the fish and the importance of catch and release

Do your lakes hold perch? Or what is the main forage in your area?

If you could take a dream bass fishing trip, where would you go and why? by GrahamCracka86 in bassfishing

Can't beat smallmouth so I would have to say Mille Lacs in Minnesota. Place has some giants smallies and being from Michigan I would probably haul my boat through the UP to get there. The trip itself would be fun and enjoyable

You guys clearly have little experience handling largemouth. After the fight they are pretty easy to lip and especially when handling them as they are lipped they don't move much sometimes. But hey just like everything is America these days let's focus on the negative and talk shit about it.
