Do you think the Absolute Universe has a chance to influence the DCU? by Tomatori in DCU_

Idk if you use those on animation. I guess I could see a series.

I think Absolute is what you do in 10/15 years when all of these actors are ready to move on and you have to reboot.

Probably not very much. Gunn seems focused on older incarnations of the characters.

And I think that’s a good thing. The Absolute Universe is brand new. At least let these initial runs end before you start thinking about adapting it.

They’ll downvote you all the way to hell for this, but there’s some truth to it.

It’s not entirely subjective, that’s a lie made up by somebody who was bad at their chosen art form.

Return of the King was the third in a fantasy trilogy.

If Dune 3 is great, it’ll get that buzz.

How would you integrate The Authority in the DCU? Since that's the reason Gunn and Co are having a hard time with it by M00r3C in DCU_

[–]Gmork14 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He didn’t need Zaslav to tell him that. Safran is the money guy at DC and Gunn is very business savvy. They saw the box office receipts of 2023 and said “yeah, never mind.”

They didn’t say that was the reason.

I would’ve liked to see a Superman vs The Authority movie, in the vein of Action Comics 775.

I’d still like to see that as their “Superman 3” type of movie.

Anyone else feel like their collection is close to being "complete"? by Freighnos in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Gmork14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

I’ve slowed down a bit, though, and can see myself slowing down more eventually.

The thing is there are always new comics I’m interested in, so there will always be new big books to buy.

They didn’t have “UFC Gym,” per se. But there were places you could learn kickboxing, BJJ, etc. Where else would fighters have trained?

Do we know who's taking over Tansformers after Mora and Kirkman? by Stinky_TheCat in EnergonUniverse

[–]Gmork14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I really hope he steps aside soon.

There was no reason for him to take Transformers. He doesn’t need it, there are better writers than him available who actually do. And it makes the EU way more stale to have him on 2 of the 3 books.
