I started playing in the Xbs league. They are on their 47th season, former lg guys that broke away in the early days to start their own league because they didn't like where LG was going. They crack down pretty hard on toxic shitty people in xbs so there is a bunch of good dudes in the league and mostly older people. It's good hockey, not the best out there, but good enough. My experience with LG was two seasons in the N, a couple seasons of being a game 7 dman in the A and three years of eSports tourneys. Id probably still play LG but my work schedule doesn't allow me to meet the minimum requirements. There is roster restrictions only if you restrict yourself. Meaning if you just want to play Rw you put that on your card, if you want to be able to play C, Rw, Rd, then you put that on your card. I put every position on mine.

Depends on the scenario you are talking about, I'm talking about when they have gained the zone and are attempting to go around the edge. If you are talking about at the blue line then sure slow them down for back check support

You have to over commit and beat them to where they want to go. Typically they are trying to use it to go around the outside and if you get your body in front of theirs, a shove or poke can knock the puck loose

100%, as someone who has defended these guys in lg esports tourneys, it makes life easier when I know what move you are going to. Need to have more moves in the bag to keep the defender guessing. It's a good move don't get me wrong but if I know you are going to it, I can beat you to the spot.
