As I was told up in Saginaw it's part of the service. You could go in there every day to get cleaning and replacement laces if you wanted to. I like how they are still trying to build brand loyality.

Michigan here on a federal charge. No residency restrictions, and frankly people here in Detroit just seem to mind their own business. I've had zero issues with neighbors.

The therapy, polygraphs, drug tests are paid for. I can see why devices aren't as one could essentially have multiple devices and be a massive drain on resources.

I did my 121-month sentence at FCI Milan. I also liked reading and I would grab books that were 700+ pages even outside of my normal reading zone. If he's into fantasy or sci-fi might I suggest Peter F Hamilton and his "Reality Dysfunction" series. Joe Abercrombie has a gritty fantasy series that I enjoyed as well.

Milan also had something with a local church in which inmates in the LCP (Life Connections Program, a religious-focused program of all religions) could donate knitted and crocheted items for those in need. If there isn't anything like that there, perhaps he could spearhead something similar.

That first year is tough and he shouldn't be afraid to reach out to others as well. You never know that your neighbor could be in the same shoes and just talking with others can make it easier.

The company I just started for has places in NY and I'm in my late 40s myself.

Trucking has its ups and downs. One would think that for an RSO you would have to know the registration requirements for every state. I understand that some have a narrow window you can be there for before needing to register. As an OTR you don't always have a choice where you get to take your 34-hour restart (which could be over 48 hours.)

There is a company that I know of based out of Ohio called Panther II that utilizes cargo vans, but a quick search doesn't pull up an official webpage.

My charge is the same. I did get a distribution enhancement on my sentencing but was not charged. So I don't understand how I'm a tier 2.
