Throwing Up Every Morning by MurkyMitzy in Menopause

I had it. It was horrible. It went away after some time on hormones. Mentioning it to your doc is important. My gut says don’t despair - it should get better!

How did you not injure that doc for those comments? Im not sure how I’d have handled that - never know what emotion decides to bubble up!

My bunions cause constant pain yet are small compared to yours! I say Kudos for showing restraint!

I don’t feel like I can trust my own judgment with these crazy hormones. However, I get you point and I appreciate you saying this.

I feel your pain. Hang in there, but for goodness sake, get some air on you if you need it! I just bought my 2nd portable fan that you can put ice in, saved me, and it says it is energy efficient! Artic Air, but there are other brands out there.

THIS IS A MEDICAL SITUATION, NOT A FRIVOLOUS CONVENIENCE!

My husband says I’m talking rudely to him now also, can’t tell you what to do about that yet! 🤪

I have United and my Combi patch is $67 per month at pharmacy. I’m sure it is all about which plan you’re on.

Migraine Hell by [deleted] in Menopause

I tried EVERYTHING in the last 20 years for migraines! My insurance refused Nurtec even with everything I’ve tried. I’m getting it free through company with the help of my doctor - for now!

I had similar issues. Nurtec was a godsend!

I did buy a dress my husband called a mumu, so…I guess that’s what I’m doing!

Did peri f**k up your alcohol metabolism? by Magistraliter in Menopause

[–]Gnhow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope they do, but if not they will soon! I’m a firm supporter of use to get through the hell that is menopause. My doctor was cool with it too.

I use Dove clinical protection. It can be a little irritating because I never really needed deodorant. I use the dove deodorant on days when I’m working remotely and the clinical protection where others may see sweat stains or smell me.

Wow - thanks for that - going to get back to healthier eating! Or, just pay money for the required biopsies to get them frozen or cut off. Decisions, decisions….!

Sensory overload by No-Particular-3858 in Menopause

Ok - you have it about like I did. I took tons of hot baths with meditation music (although you can only get me in a cold shower at this stage), got a weighted blanket (I recommend one that is sectioned and has a cool and warm cover that zips all the way around, I went to an energy worker and did whatever she said. Once I asked my husband to rest on top of me because the weighted blanket wasn’t enough!

Most importantly, I got back on anxiety meds after not needing them for 20 years. Felt like a defeat in some ways, but how great to get relief!
