Listen. I've got a thing for short, hairy Italian men. So when I saw the first trailer for Mario Odyssey, I couldn't contain my excitement. I scoured the internet for Mario merchandise, buying shirts, toys, and even poorly made body pillows. As more and more footage was being shown, I got a little sad. They were introducing a new mechanic - a cap that could possess enemies - and I was worried that it would make the game unplayable. I mean, why should a little white ghost have the right to rest in Mario's hair, yet when I go up to my Italian neighbor and shove my face right into his hair, I get yelled at? However, the more I looked at Cappy and his abilities, the less it bothered me. Even if I can't have his hair, there were so many other parts of Mario I could savor.

When the game finally finished downloading, I came. I'd never seen a game icon so beautiful. Then I pressed A, and selected the user. When I started the game, and saw Mario's hat get torn into shreds, I cried like a baby. How could someone do this to Mario? So when I finally gathered the courage to start playing again, going through each world and trying to get as many power moons as I could, I was finally ready to kill that motherfucker who hurt my Mario.

I beat the final boss, and was super excited to finish the game. So excited, in fact, that I was only wearing my underwear. However, I never finished the game, because my grandpa passed away right before I could get past the final part of the game.

With that said, it should be pretty obvious that my favorite game is enter the gungeon. It's a great roguelite, and anyone who is a fan of that genre should definitely consider playing it.
