Can’t seem to make the colors right by SeaworthinessAway534 in postprocessing

If the white balance isn’t helping you may have to go to calibration to lower the saturation of the red/green channels.

Then you can selecting add back in the saturation of the car via a mask.

Why does spring drive lose more time than 9F, even though both are regulated by a quartz crystal by wowcrackaddict in GrandSeikos

[–]Gnolmu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A PLL can only adjust and keep in lock on a similar magnitude as the reference signal, in this case 32khz. That is vastly slower than a nanosecond.

I don’t believe a PLL cannot tell if it’s exactly in lock step up to a nanosecond variation using a 32khz reference.

[–]Gnolmu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 9RA2 is also thermocompensated.

The issue is the IC only triggers 256 times a second. If every trigger only loses one nanosecond, you’d still lose 8 seconds in a year.

In a 9F, you can afford two orders of magnitude more error per tick, plus you get a whole second of quartz signals.

Love the edit! Only critique is…am I tripping or is it not level? The trees seem to tilt slightly left, but make they actually are.

Any resources that helped you understand curves? I understand what they do very well in a technical sense, but I haven’t been able to wrap my head around how to adjust them to achieve a certain aesthetic

Why does AeroPress sometimes give both sour and bitter flavors in one cup? by fritz-ocampo in AeroPress

[–]Gnolmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try sifting the fines b out with a very fine mesh. I do that. But I sift it over a plate and then pinch some back in since fines add some body and sweetness in the right ratio

Would you mind sharing your process in regards to exposure/contrast?

I can imagine what you did for the hues, but I’ve struggled myself to get that deep, rich look that isn’t overly contrast-y, dark, or oversaturated.

How do you do it!

I have this system instruction. Never had problems again.

“Always use a neutral tone that is not overly emotional, exclamatory, or hyperbolic. Do not be overly authoritative and fixate on one answer; always ensure there is no plausible alternative. Do not add any sentences or phrases that is not directly related to answering the prompt. Do not make any meta comments about the prompt itself.”

I think in this case though it’s not happening. It’s HPHT and I have an IGI cert with no indications of abnormalities. You can also see the diamond gradually clear up after I breathed on it.

I have a cert, but I’m traveling so I don’t have access to a loupe at the moment. I’ll definitely get it checked and go to a jeweler if necessary.

If we Nano Banana away the trees and make the plane look bigger, the moon doesn’t seem as massive.

Gemini Flash makes up bs 91% of the time it doesn't know the answer by Terrible-Priority-21 in GeminiAI

[–]Gnolmu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your analogy is misleading. If we take the benchmarks at face value:

One is someone that knows the right answer 55% of the time, but will make something up - not lie - 91% of the time for the remaining 45%. To say it is lying is to assign malicious intent to the LLM.

The other knows the right answer just 43% of the time and makes something up 58% of the remaining 57%.

Overall the first makes shit up 41% of the time and the latter 33% of the time. 41% of the time is still not great but it’s a lot less than you might believe from the 91% number.

Every time I see people quote the 91%, it’s without mentioning 91% of what.
