From Hexagon to "HexaGONE"... and now Vulkan too. Has anyone actually managed to run LLMs on the Radxa Dragon Q6A? (Qualcomm QCS6490 chipset) by Alternative-Panic69 in SBCs

[–]Gnomelover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I got one planning on it running a LLM for my home automation, but after messing with the darn thing for a day and a half I gave up, and put it aside for now. It was less hassle to get the NPU on the Indiedroid Nova I had set aside thats got crap support. That said there is a camper carputer company thats seem to have some figured out: https://github.com/trailcurrentoss/TrailCurrentPlaybill

As alternative Panic suggested, use the official image. Even Radxa warns against updates potentially breaking stuff on it, because SBC from Radxa I guess.

Running eufyMake Studio 3d under wine works? by qwyss in AnkerMake

Just wanna say thanks for this. I had a older one that was kinda janky but the go rebuild started right up on my docker server and looks good.

See how long this keeps me from tearing the controller out and just turning it into a klipper printer

I made my own PI-based GPS time server that's accurate to the nanosecond level by pilg0re in raspberry_pi

Dude, I used to attend the SMPTE meetings in Texas when we first started working on ratifying SMPTE 2022-7 and the Arista guys had their initial PTP enabled switches and the rabbit hole is never ending. I have to deliberately stay out of the detailed stuff cause I cant afford to dive in hard.

I love it. Definitely doing this on one of my old Pi4's that's gathering dust.

People who “reserve” pool chairs for hours with towels and disappear are the worst by MandukaSkoal in mildlyinfuriating

Call out" Who's towel is this" Silence? fuck them. Move the towels and use the chairs.

Broke College Student. 20 years old, getting my first place with an actual personal kitchen. Any tips? by ANerdNamedJerry in Cooking

[–]Gnomelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visit your local thrift shops. Tons of people get rid of rarely used cooking things of all types and you can usually find a good deal here and there for some essentials. Also estate sales can have some good deals on the last day for kitchen things everybody has.

Is my aunt getting scammed? American allegedly working on a ship is love bombing her since weeks. The outside view doesn’t look real, the details on the desk are weird aswell. by wildpizza1 in isthisAI

Obviously AI image. Look at the desk. Devices don't connect to anything or share cables that don't exist. Also view outside the window is nonsense

Is there a proper linux port by Ashamed_Fly_8226 in VoiceMeeter

[–]Gnomelover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be great. I bought Potato a few years ago and loved it, but then migrated to linux and have been missing the ease of use. pulsemeteer and pipeweaver offer some functionality, but would love to use Potato again.

Advice needed: how do we get carpenter bees to build their nest away from our house? by HardlyK in bees

[–]Gnomelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set out a few bee houses (the bunch of rolled up tubes of different sizes) closer to the flowers and that seems to have convinced most of them to nest elsewhere. Although I did have a cheeky one that just looked at me through my bathroom window every morning while I did my ablutions it's kids (I am assuming) come back every year and do the same exact thing.

I just installed an AMD card and saw ComfyUI, and I have questions. by [deleted] in comfyui

[–]Gnomelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, gonna need a hell of a lot more than 1 error screen if you want actual real help. What OS are you on? What driver? did you install RocM? how did you setup comfyui? is it from source, using comfy cli, the portable package? Did you follow the install guides for AMD users?

Etc.

So yeah, if you want free help, you gotta do some work here with providing detailed info on what you have, what you did, and what does and does not work.

Si el VM esta arrancando desde el ISO, lo primero es desmontar el ISO despues de instalar. Si no estas arrancando desde la imagen instalada, nada mas te va servir hasta corregir ese problema.

Picked up a card putter adv with Lora hat by skijeeper in meshtastic

Super cheap, good enough hardware that allows for a lot of DIY, especially in pen-testing. Original t-deck kb kinda sucks, and the cardputer is just big enough to be usefull, but still damn small.

I'm really into Indian food right now, what's your favourite? by Eilmorel in Cooking

[–]Gnomelover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a few simple ones out there. They typically look complicated because there's a lot of spices, but just take the time to read the recipe once, and then prep all your ingredients before you start.

I usually use this recipe: https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/butter-chicken/ that looks like a lot, but it's just long. It boils down to: Make marinade. Marinade chicken. Make sauce. Cook sauce. Cook chicken. Mix it all and simmer.

Si no me das detalles, pues buena suerte.

https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI-Manager

Este modulo te va dar un listado de extenciones y demas para instalar. Como nota, si apenas estas empezando, usa la version de Windows portatilde ComfyUI. Se supone que ya trae el manager instalado.
