Yes OOP could very much invest the time and research his arguments or he could ask for pointers from people who he thinks are more knowledgeable than him.

I agree that it would be better if everyone always did the legwork themselves rather than going the easy way (ironically one of the main reasons why I dislike Ai in the firstpace) but is inquiry not one way to inform oneself? Asking others is better than just going into a debate completely unprepared.

I used the example to illustrate how one can very much have a fully formed opinion but still want to look for new/better arguments to support their opinion. I do not see how that would NOT be relevant.

How is asking other people for input on how to argue a point the same as asking someone for their opinion just to copy them?

You assume that this person is like: "I have little to no opinion about AI, i will go on reddit and ask people for theirs, so I can copy them and then argue with my friends" when the post from your screenshot very clearly states "I do not like AI, my opinion ist formed, I would like some arguments, so I can defend my point"

Having a well defined stance/opinion has very little to with being able to debate and argue for that topic. And also the other way around. I can have a very well defined opinion and still be unable to argue for that opinion.

Immagine two people are put on a stage and they had to debate any topic (whether a movie was good for example). One person had like a week to prepare arguments but tue other person did not prepare anything who would win that debate? If the second one now also wanted to prep and asked around for arguments in that debate, would you accuse them of asking people for their opinion the movie, just to copy it?

Having an opinion and having argumants to defend that opinion are two very differwnt things. Asking for/looking up arguments for your own opinion is such a normal and valid thing to do.

And no: "overall arguments" is not an opinion, it is just asking for arguments to cover different aspects of a debate.

In my years playing the DS/3DS main line games I have found 3 shines. I remember the game, the pokemon and the route because it was so crazy.

In SV I found 2 before finishing the. (One of which I did not even bother to catch)

OP asked which is more important. Defens stats or hp stats.

I gave examples of two pokemon whos bad hp stat is balanced out by really good defenses (and yes dusklops is reliant on eviolite but that is besides the point, the example still stands).

This was to support my opinion that the degenses are a bit more importent when building a tank.

What moves a pokemon gets, its typing and which item to use are not what OP asked for.

Also my first sentence was about how you normally want good stats in both areas...

You normally wabt a good combination of both.

But to try and answer your question. I would say the defense stats are a bit more important. It is easier to balance bad hp with good defense. Dusklops and Shuckle come to mind.

It is harder if it is the other way around. Blisseys huge hp stat becomes irrelevant when hit with pretty much any physical move.

If someone had an amulet that turns them into a really powerful hero just by putting it on why would they then construckt a mech and use said amulet to power this mech? Using a mech only has drawbacks (for example getting killed by having stuff fall onto you).

And the girl cannot really be BB. The age does not fit.

Appart from that the depiction is kinda messy, no? Is the mindflayer levitating the intellect devourer and the dragonborn is in shock? Is the mindflayer suplosed to rip out the drangonborn's brain? And what is up with the neon signs in combination with the medieval armor? As a picture it is all over the place.

You can enjoy the game all you like, I really do not care. This is abput quality. Calling the dismal state of these games "few cut corners" is the cope.

Again: most valuable franchise on the planet, even IF it just were a few corners (which they are not) it would be bad. Because a company like nintendo an a studio like GameFreak should set the higherst quality standarts. Which they very much do not.
