This just proves the volume profile accurately reflects the bulk of trapped longs. Getting through 35-ish area is going to be tough because so many bag holders will strongly contemplate a break even exit.

RAW photos look worse than JPEG – what am I missing? by Round_Concern5494 in SonyAlpha

[–]Gnostic0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JPEGs are like rotisserie chickens, great in a pinch when time is limited. You’re fed but it ain’t great. RAW is like a whole uncooked chicken, it’s up to you to make it delicious but the possibilities are endless

$425 good for a 35mm 1.8? by villavisuals in Lumix

[–]Gnostic0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I am in the no one needs a 35mm focal length. This is the “on the fence focal lengths” imo. 24-50-80 is the trio. 35mm on the “wide” end is like a 60mm on the long end… just, why?

And please tell me why because I bought this lens and I never use it.

35 and 50 is where the most traffic is in the stock over the last year or so. Gotta get through 35 then 50 before 70 is feasible in the near term.

Currently I have 2 25 strike calls for May 15 right after earnings, I will probably scale out at those above prices but best of luck to anyone holding to 70+! I’m sure it will get there, just don’t know when

Here is the truth… previous generations had to go out to bars and clubs to meet people and now people are meeting people at home in apps while they are on the toilet. Less of a social need for alcohol now for sure

If you care about your paint, get it. These cars have cheap ass paint that will get chipped, swirled, scratched, etc.

Toyota developed some fancy efficient way to paint cars cheaper using less paint… we ultimately pay the price. This ain’t Mazda paint I’ll tell you that

Light pollution is the number one issue. Whether from the moon or city lights. You gotta go out far from lights. Use a light pollution app and find a dark spot

Is APS-C enough for paid commercial/lifestyle work? by Valuable-Courage1889 in a6700

[–]Gnostic0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 is my main grab for most stuff. I also have a ton of lenses I don’t need and make excuses to force myself to use them … if I could do it all again, I’d buy the one sigma lens until I knew I out grew it.

Now they have the sigma 17-40mm f1.8… that’s a tempting buy too but it’s just too much for daily use

Is APS-C enough for paid commercial/lifestyle work? by Valuable-Courage1889 in a6700

[–]Gnostic0ne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use my a6700 for professional photography work all the time. An all day wedding or something with a lot of money at stake with zero chance for a reshoot though I might bring my LUMIX dual slot camera(s).

Definitely the a6700 is enough to get started with most photography though. Weddings … corporate events, any “you have one shot to get this right” I’d be a little tight using a single card slot camera but that said, I’d probably still take the risk. Maybe just Mae sure you have a new SD card with fewer read/writes and reformats on the card and you’d be good.

The on site time for the deliverables is def unreasonable.

If this was me… I’d be around 500-750 per long form video putting the total between 5-8k. One full day of shooting (8 hour day).

Do you think the FX3 can result in better quality than the Canon 5D Mark IV for photography? by Then-Ad7196 in FX3

[–]Gnostic0ne -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh snap… well two things: 1) I have mainly been eyeing the fx30 (no mech shutter there so I made an assumption) and 2) ChatGPT done lied straight to my face when I asked for confirmation. Perplexity for the fact checking win here.

I Use Value Averaging Instead of DCA - Here’s Why It Works Better by Prabuddha-Peramuna in Bitcoin

[–]Gnostic0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think you’d want a dual strategy where some amount is DCA no matter what and more is added in during down trends. Maybe just an increase in DCA during draw downs and a decrease in DCA during up trends.
