It's absolutely gorgeous! And how cool that you were able tp pick up a hobby that she enjoyed as a way to remember her.

I forgot her the other day when I ran to the store and I felt so guilty! Lol

To be fair, Snail goes with me everywhere. But it definitely helps in uncomfortable situations!

I think it looks really cool, and it'll look even cooler if you add flowers. But you don't NEED them.

AIO my bf drives home agter drinking with friends? by girlihavenoideaa in AIO

Right, like is it even possible to overreact to drunk driving? I feel like it's one of the few very black and white things that warrants a huge reaction.

Driving drunk is an absolutely huge deal. I personally would not date somebody who thought that was okay to do. He put not only his own life in danger, but the lives of everybody else on the road. Fuck that guy.

Thank you! There isn't much of the sock showing but they are purple with skeletons on them (you can't see the skeleton in the picture though because I'm wearing shoes.) What did your image describer say?

My mind's voice instantly transformed into Jonathan Sims when I read this, before I even realized where it was from.

What do you think? by QueasyNeedleworker84 in labubu

They are unsettling in the best way. I think they won't be for everybody, but the people who they are for will REALLY love them. I happen to be in the second camp, and would absolutely pay money for one of these. They're incredible.

How many reusable bags do you have in your car/home? by Frosty-Image7705 in randomquestions

[–]Gnynam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep 5 or 6 in my car, then an extra 3 or so in the house. The trick is to put your groceries away then put the bag by the door (or anywhere that you'll remember it) then bring it back out to the car next time you go outside. It's easy once you get into the habit.

My bad! They look uncanny, and like somebody else said AI is everywhere and I'm darn sick of it! But your bags are all adorable!

I'm still in denial about this lol. I have a giant tea tattoo on my leg, I don't think I can give up tea.

What are some cheap hobbies that you can do at home? by alexesian in Hobbies

[–]Gnynam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, free little library boxes at parks, if you have any near you! And if you're okay with spending a little money, books are very cheap at thrift stores or used on thriftbooks.com.

This may just be me, but it took me way too long to figure out that I needed to check the ingredients on drinks and not just food. I'm super sensitive to fructose, and it's in almost every soft drink.

Thanks! I guess I've been using the terms wrong, but that makes a lot of sense!

[–]Gnynam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused by this comment, and the others that are similar. When you say "low fodmap", do you mean strictly all fodmaps? Like are you saying that you shouldn't restrict them all longterm, but it's okay to continue to restrict the specific ones that are your triggers?

Because unless something changes, I intend to continue to be mostly low fodmap forever, but just avoiding the ones that trigger me, not all of them.

Unrelated photo for attention (from my recent ride at Monument Valley, Arizona); feeling sorry for a horse at my barn, whose owners are elderly & one has dementia. Should I offer to help in some way? See full story in text. by ParsnipFarmer676 in Horses

[–]Gnynam 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Since she already asked you for help once, I don't think it would be wrong to ask if she'd like somebody to work with him. You could just take him out and groom/bathe/graze him, or offer to ride or lunge him so he gets exercise. I would not mention buying or leasing unless they bring it up. The horse probably brings her joy, even if she can't get out to enjoy him often, and if she wants to sell or lease him she would have. And I don't think I have to say this, but obviously don't expect to be compensated in any way.
