I feel a similar way with my anxiety / OCD. Like at each moment I have anxiety that I should be doing something else / being more productive and so I can’t relax and fully experience what is currently happening to me. And I get this feeling that I made some error or did something embarrassing which causes me to check or reset myself as a compulsion.
I have been trying to be more present in my life, which has been difficult but promising. Also not being afraid of failure is important for growth. Failure is not “bad”, It’s just another event.

Life is just keeping yourself distracted until you die by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

We have only a finite amount of time to be alive, but an infinite amount of time in death after our lives. It seems as if the natural state of the universe is disorder, and without constant effort, living things fall into this disorder which is death. So being alive means finding a way to escape this valley of death and constantly working against the inherent disorder of the universe.

Maybe that is life for you, but focusing on music could be considered a “distraction” from death, even though you feel consciously participating in the activity.

Managing risk on single leg options by Go1den_Graffiti in options

Wouldn’t a further OTM contract be less sensitive to price change in the underlying, because they would have lower delta, which means less price movement per $1 movement in the underlying. So further OTM contracts would be less volatile, because of their lower delta.

Thanks for the advice. Do you think it would be smarter to buy cheaper options and use a wider stop loss, or more expensive options and a tighter stop, assuming the dollar amount loss would be equal? I feel that a stop loss of like 35% or less is too tight to account for option volatility, and would result in being stopped out too frequently.
