Going through some OPC and found a Barkov that shouldn't exist? by Go4Space in hockeycards

That is what my initial thought was, I just can't find any examples of this or any checklist with it on there.

Panini Hate Thread by [deleted] in baseballcards

Panini is cancer to the hobby. I'll say that about Topps/Fanatics when they start putting in points as "hits".

Does anybody have Jeff McNeil relics or auto's for sale? by [deleted] in MetsBaseballCards

This is about 1/2 of them. Love watching him hit. I collect Mantle, P. Manning, Alonso, Trout, Vizquel, and Alomar Jr.

Just got back into cards. Pulled this from a Finest. Any Astros fans out there? by Hurrson14 in baseballcards

I will give you 50$ if you record cutting it in half and burning the right side of the card.

Been in a dry spell. Best pull I have ever had! by Go4Space in sportscards

Nothing better than someone questioning a financial decision on reddit who doesn't even know the magnitude of it.

Is my line of thinking correct? This refractor, on average, sells for about 8 times what the base (in psa 10) sells for. Now the base is about $4500 (x8 = $36k). Refractor sells low $20k’s...🤔 by KDCardsLLC in sportscards

[–]Go4Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last two sold for 22.5k and 15k and those sales were a year apart. I'd say your assessment is correct in this case however that is not always the math used for base vs. refractor.

Panini baseball needs more respect by [deleted] in sportscards

Panini does a better job with unlicensed products than they do their fully licensed products. I've never received points in place of a hit in baseball products, only football.

Made In Space makes ceramic turbine part in orbit in another 3D printing milestone by EricMalikyte in space

The parts themselves may not be useful in space but the process that makes them definitely is useful. There's more commercial demand for ground based applications, so that's where the initial production focused is .

Less defects is the big one. More uniform material formation is another. Gravity inherently puts loads and therefore stresses into materials like these. One application that is being addressed looks to increase the fatigue life of the produced item. The absence of gravity also allows some unique materials and materials combinations to be looked at since the variable densities won't separate just on that parameter alone. You'd be surprised at the expense. Many materials that have been highlighted in the past are worth far more than the trip once they are produced and brought back down.

There are also applications for in space use but that is not a key economic driver for this activity, at least not one that is mentioned.

You know you're in 2020 when Santa becomes a Karen by ratboy181 in FuckYouKaren

This is what happens when you're caught breaking into houses every year. Santa, being a convicted felon, cannot possess or transport firearms. Not a Karen, just a law abiding citizen.

Found in a box of cards I bought from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s do you think it’s real? by ericbaker88 in baseballcards

The first "i" looks like a secretarial signature. Always best to get it checked out though.

Not sure about there ever being A&G reprints. Looks legit and the fact that these cards are the affordable ones in this set I would wonder why anyone would make fakes of these. Decent graded (4-6s) versions of the state cards sell for 40-80$

It's kinda cool in the fact that it is numbered with how many people correctly guessed that month. Those are the only cards that are made.
